LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kelly Clarkson brought down the house last week with her electrifying "Kellyoke" performance of Celine Dion's iconic 'My Heart Will Go On'.

Shared on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' socials on Friday, September 27, the rendition quickly went viral, leaving fans in awe and sparking a wave of excitement that’s still going strong.

Kelly Clarkson had no intentions of upstaging Celine Dion with her 'My Heart Will Go On' rendition

Kelly Clarkson, who has made Kellyoke a beloved fixture on her talk show, has long held a reputation for turning the songs she covers into something uniquely her own.

And in the process, she’s put artists on edge, knowing her powerhouse vocals might just outshine the original versions, as per Daily Mail.

Yet, when it came to 'My Heart Will Go On', Clarkson wasn’t aiming to outdo Dion. In fact, she holds the Canadian singer in the highest regard.

"Usually I would never cover that song because there's some songs you don't want to go near as a vocalist," admitted the 42-year-old, before adding, "But there's a reason why I did that today."

The reason? 'Titanic' star Kate Winslet was scheduled to appear on the show to promote her new film, 'Lee'. And, it seems like Clarkson couldn't resist paying homage to one of cinema’s most famous ballads.

Dion, who was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome (SPS), a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the nervous system, in 2022, returned to the stage at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.

Clarkson, who was a commentator for NBC's coverage of the 2024 Olympics, was visibly moved to tears after Dion's comeback performance.

Fans go gaga over Kelly Clarkson's rendition of 'My Heart Will Go On'

Fans were quick to flood social media with praise, many declaring Kelly Clarkson’s rendition as on par—if not better—than the original.

"Kelly Clarkson singing My Heart Will Go On is UNREAL," gushed a person, as per Daily Mail. They added, "One of the few who can really do justice to a Céline Dion classic. Those vocals were powerful, emotional, and straight-up flawless. She understood the assignment and NAILED it. Céline would be proud.”

Another fan declared the performance "one of the best things to ever happen" to them, while others playfully referenced Titanic in their comments, recalling the emotional ending of the film and Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Jack.

"2 minutes is simply just not enough time omggggggg!!!! Kelly I need more," wrote one emotional fan on YouTube. One more observed, "If someone can sing perfectly that song besides Celine, it definitely it's Kelly."

A comment read, "Kelly Clarkson never disappoints....Those Vocals," while one simply read, "That is freaking PERFECT!!!!"

"Listening to this is like experiencing Rose jumping back on the ship for the first time," quipped a fan.

Clarkson's impressive take on the 'Titanic' ballad is just the latest in her series of jaw-dropping covers.

Fans won’t have to wait long for more, either. Her music director, Jason Halbert, told Entertainment Weekly that the next few weeks are packed with exciting Kellyoke moments.

He said, "Right now, in the next six weeks, we have four different Chappell Roan covers coming up, and I guarantee you that’s because she’s connecting with the story in those moments."
