MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has expressed her desire for former President Donald Trump to appoint her to oversee natural resources if he is reelected in 2024, according to RawStory.

On Wednesday, July 17, the MAGA-aligned congresswoman was asked by the 'Native Voice One' podcast during an interview at the 2024 Republican National Convention (RNC) regarding who the ex-president should select as Secretary of the Interior.

"I think Lauren Boebert needs to be secretary of the interior," Boebert remarked. "President Trump, I would like to be secretary of the interior."

"Public lands are something that are very dear to me, and I've spent a lot of time on our tribal lands with our chairman and our council members," she added.

What else did Lauren Boebert request from Trump during her RNC interview?

Rep Lauren Boebert declared that the Bureau of Land Management would be divided among the states under her leadership. She also talked about issues related to energy production.

"I am pro-fossil fuels oil and gas and I especially want to explore nuclear," the Colorado GOP lawmaker claimed. "But I think that our tribal lands are impacted severely when we are shutting down our coal-fired energy plants."

She went on to say, "States like Colorado, we have some of the cleanest coal in the entire world, and that affects those tribal lands down the road that are getting energy, and they're forced to burn wood in some areas, which we know is as much dirtier, a much dirtier way to produce heat."

Rep Boebert pledged to advance oil drilling in tribal areas under her leadership.

"We have a lot of drilling that takes place and I believe that that is a cleaner way to take care of the environment and extract those resources that we have been blessed with to use what's given to us by the earth to produce this energy in a clean and efficient way rather than just covering it up with solar panels and wind turbines killing so many vital species," she opined.

Notably, scientists have established that wind turbines do not cause major damage to bird species when compared to habitat degradation.

Lauren Boebert trolled for asking Trump to make her Secretary of the Interior if reelected

People online lambasted the 37-year-old Colorado Republican for urging the ex-POTUS to select her as the Secretary of the Interior during an interview at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday.

One person commented, "Jesus, this is a terrible idea. She’ll strip……every inch of government land for anything of value."

Another person wrote, "I guess this is trump's first step of replacing qualified scientists with idiots."

Another person claimed, "That woman is counting down the days she becomes a multi millionaire by selling gas and oil leases, lumber and land. The part of Colorado where she lives is a gold mine waiting to be exploited."

One person said, "Lauren Boebert in charge of natural resources? For that matter, Lauren Boebert in charge of anything? Not just no, but hell no. But I guess she's already planning for her defeat in her next congressional race."

Another person remarked, "Imagine someone as dumb as her in charge of anything. She cant even take charge of her family."

Finally, this person asserted, "A high school dropout as Secretary of the Interior? She would be worse than James Watt. Boebert is uneducated and straight up stupid. You don't need a detailed plan for destroying government if you just put grotesquely incompetent people in charge of running it. It's over for us if Trump is returned to the White House."
