WASHINGTON, DC: Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on CNN’s ‘The Situation Room’ on Tuesday, December 9, to talk about women being sidelined by the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson.

She further accused Johnson of marginalizing women and said that would not change until the “leadership decides to take us seriously.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene raises her voice against Mike Johnson

While speaking to Pamela Brown and Wolf Blitzer on ‘The Situation Room’, Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed frustration over women representatives not being taken seriously by the GOP. She said it was “extremely frustrating” that many women were being ignored.

Giving an example of the same, she said speaker Mike Johnson promised her that he would vote on her 'Protect Children’s Innocence Act'.

Greene said it was one of Donald Trump’s “top campaign promises,” which was to protect any child under the age of 18 from gender affirming care.

Explaining further, Greene stated that they wanted children to grow up before making permanent changes to their bodies. She added that the bill had been passed through the judiciary and was ready for a floor vote.

Mike Johnson promised to vote on it after the government shutdown, but it still has not been brought up.

Marjorie Taylor Greene claims Trump’s team hid her legislation

During the conversation, Greene said she was concerned because she didn’t think that Donald Trump’s team or the speaker had told the president about the legislation she introduced.

She added that much of it aligned with the agendas that Trump and Greene campaigned on in 2024. “Many of my bills are actually his executive orders in legislative form,” she added.

Marjorie Taylor Greene further said that if the speaker were to pass her bills and if Trump were to sign them into law, Trump’s executive orders that made him a “temporary president” would become law and “permanent.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene opens up about death threats on her son

Greene commented on Trump calling her a traitor and said that the president’s words brought a “serious” threat to her and her family. She revealed that she received pipe bomb threats and direct threats against her son.

She added that it went beyond arguments, disagreements, and politics and said that everyone’s families and children’s safety should matter.

However, Greene clarified that she was not angry with Donald Trump and that it was “easy” for her to forgive him, but she was hurt by the 'traitor' remark.
