LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan McCain reportedly decided to not give her vote to either of the two main candidates -- Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump -- during the 2024 election.

Trump and Harris ran against each other for the presidential office, and the latter triumphed by winning 312 electoral votes. His inauguration as the 47th president of America will happen on January 20, 2025.

However, now the former ‘The View’ cohost has disclosed that she gave her vote to a dead person — her late father John McCain — in the 2024 presidential election, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

Meghan McCain says Kamala Harris failed to impress her

Meghan’s father was former United States Senator John McCain who died in August 2018 because of brain cancer.

During an interview on the iHeart podcast ‘Next Questions With Katie Couric’, Meghan shared, “I wrote in my dad. Is that cliche? I'm so sorry, I know, I know. It's so... people are mad at me. People are so mad at me, Katie. I mean, mad that I didn't vote either way.”

The 40-year-old blogger continued, “And I was like, I have such Christian guilt at night, and I don't want anything on my conscience with any of it. I just can never vote for Trump. I can't do it. I could never explain it to my children.”

However, when Meghan was asked why she did not even choose Harris, she replied, “I really wanted her to give me a reason to vote for her, and I just felt like it never happened and there were some questions that she just couldn't answer.”

“And look, I'm a pro-life, pretty hardcore conservative woman and Governor [Tim] Walz was way too extreme for me. He actually, like, scared me a lot more than she did,” she added.

Meghan McCain had called out Harris for ‘setting feminism back 10 years’

Meghan, however, praised Harris for “getting in the cockpit of a crashing plane and leveling it out the way she did.”

“I don't think she's this cataclysmic disaster that she's being portrayed as. I actually think it's pretty unfair,” the columnist mentioned.

Meghan’s words were quite different from what she said about Harris earlier this year on her ‘Citizen McCain’ podcast.

She asserted at the time, “If anything, Vice President Harris has proven to me that maybe a woman can't be Vice President. I actually think she's setting feminism back 10 years.”

Netizens call Meghan McCain ‘another retarded muppet’

Meanwhile, Meghan McCain’s recent statement has received a lot of backlash online with an X user tweeting, “Meghan McCain admits that she is still two faced. She supported Kamala and didn't vote for her. She took you to the cleaners.”

Another user commented, “Then why even bother voting? Because you think you're witty? You're not. Your Globalist establishment RINO Uniparty is now DEAD.”

A tweet read, “She is another retarded muppet the media likes to pass around and pretend her opinion matters.”

Another tweet was “She is an idiot.”

“Mental illness is definitely hard,” a person wrote.

“She threw away her vote and totally missed the danger this Republic was facing. What a shallow person,” the second one added.

An individual said, “She might as well not voted. Pure stupidity.”
