Meghan McCain says she declined ‘Dancing With the Stars’ offer thrice as she intends to ‘run for office’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan McCain revealed in a recent episode of her podcast 'Citizen McCain' that she has declined three invitations to participate in 'Dancing With the Stars' over the years.
She has also turned down offers from other reality shows, mostly because she still has aspirations of becoming a politician and understands that participating in a reality show carries the danger of public humiliation. Mccain asserted, "You can't do both. It's simply not possible."
Meghan McCain wants to 'run for office' at some point
“I do not do reality TV, because there’s still a tiny little window in my life that I want to run for office at some point, and you can’t do both. You just can’t. It’s just not serious,” said Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Senator John McCain.
“Come to me if I’m starving in the street and I’ve had some financial issues, but, I’m fine.”

“I’ve been asked to do ‘Dancing With the Stars’ three times, and I said no each time, because I just don’t want to publicly humiliate myself,” said Meghan McCain, as per Entertainment Weekly.
She added, “I’m a terrible dancer and I don’t do reality TV. The amount of reality TV I’ve been asked to do would blow your mind. I’m always like, what about my personality says I’d be good on these kind of platforms? I’m pretty shy in person. I’d be awful.”
McCain said if she participated in one of the reality shows, she "wouldn't have to work for a year" as she would get a hefty pay for her participation. She spoke about her friend Clay Aiken's experience on 'The Masked Singer'.
"I'm not going to say how much [it pays] because I don't have his permission, but he did 'The Masked Singer', and 'The Masked Singer', everybody should want to get on 'The Masked Singer'. 'The Masked Singer' is a paycheck," she teased.
McCain said she was averse to participate in a show like 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test'. She added she was also offered another performance-based reality series, the name of which she could not recall.
Despite McCain's distaste for reality competition shows, her father's vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, participated in Season 3 of 'The Masked Singer' in 2020. Her daughter, Bristol Palin, also participated in 'Dancing With the Stars' ten years prior in 2010.
Meghan McCain discloses her voting plan for 2024 election
Meghan McCain recently declared that she will not cast her ballot this year for either former president Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris. She made a post about the presidential race on Tuesday afternoon, September 3, on X, formerly Twitter, but she did not specify who she might vote for in November or whether she would cast a ballot at all.
In contrast to her younger brother Jimmy McCain, who had told CNN he would be voting for Kamala Harris, Meghan McCain stated she was still a "proud member of the Republican Party" and would not be like him.
I greatly respect the wide variety of political opinions of all of my family members and love them all very much.

I however, remain a proud member of the Republican Party and hope for brighter days ahead.
(Not voting for Harris or Trump, hope that clears things up).
