Megyn Kelly blasts Kamala Harris supporter Jennifer Lopez for 'ruining marriages'
Megyn Kelly was one of the guest speakers at the MAGA victory event held at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, DC, ahead of Trump's inauguration, which drew thousands of people.
"Speaking of JLo, how happy are you [that] her candidate lost? It’s so delightful," Kelly said, making her first jab at the Latina music sensation.
Kelly took a break from making fun of Lopez to criticize Hollywood in general, saying, "These Hollywood celebrities who get up there and try to tell us how to vote…really? I mean like those celebrities who know nothing about anything,"
"All JLo knows how to do is ruin marriages," Kelly continued, focusing on the 'Atlas' star again, referring to the singer's four divorces, the latest of which was with Oscar winner Ben Affleck.
"Why does she have to try and ruin the country too?" Kelly asked, adding that Lopez was "an expert at that." The TV personality concluded by saying, "So goodbye JLo. It didn’t work out for you."
The 'Jenny From The Block' singer had endorsed Kamala Harris for president during a campaign rally held shortly before the elections in November 2024.
Lopez spoke up for fellow Puerto Ricans after Trump's offensive campaign event in late October in Madison Square Garden, New York, featured derogatory remarks about Puerto Ricans.
Besides Kelly, other prominent attendees of the Make America Great Again Victory Rally included musical artists Billy Ray Cyrus, Kid Rock, and Village People.
Jennifer Lopez previously slammed Donald Trump in support of Puerto Ricans
The pop diva previously addressed offensive comments made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at a Donald Trump event in New York by taking a firm stand in favor of Puerto Ricans at a rally for Kamala Harris in October 2024.
Hinchcliffe's portrayal of Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage" infuriated several people, including members of the Latino population.
Lopez attacked Trump by saying, "He has consistently worked to divide us. At Madison Square Garden, he reminded us who he really is and how he really feels."
"It wasn’t just Puerto Ricans that were offended that day. It was every Latino in this country. It was humanity and anyone of decent character," she added.
Lopez said, "I am not here to trash anyone, or bring them down. I know what that can feel like, and I wouldn’t do it to my worst enemy, or even when facing the biggest adversary I think America has internally ever had."
According to The Wrap, Lopez energized the audience by tapping into her Puerto Rican heritage after showcasing Harris' long list of accomplishments and her activism career.
The singer further endorsed the Harris campaign following Hinchcliffe's controversial remarks at Trump's New York City rally.
