TUCSON, ARIZONA: The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office are racing to find answers in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping case. A new update from the FBI’s Phoenix office on X (formerly Twitter) says the reward has now been doubled. It has increased from $50,000 to $100,000 for information tied to the investigation.

Officials also shared new details about the suspect. They described the man’s appearance and revealed the color of the bag he was carrying. Anyone with information about the suspect or the video is urged to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip at http://tips.fbi.gov.

Investigators say the search is becoming more difficult as time passes. Each day without new leads makes finding her harder.

FBI increases reward in Nancy Guthrie case

The FBI’s Phoenix office shared a detailed update on X about the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. Officials announced two key developments in the case. First, the reward has been raised from $50,000 to $100,000 for information that helps find her or leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved.

Police say they are increasingly concerned about her health. She requires daily medication and has a pacemaker. Investigators said an app linked to her pacemaker disconnected at 2:28 am on the night she was taken, adding urgency to the search, as per The National Desk.

During a briefing, FBI Phoenix Special Agent in Charge Heith Janke asked anyone involved to return her safely. “This is an 84-year-old grandma that needs vital medication for her well-being. You still have the time to do the right thing before this becomes a much worse scenario for you. Please return Nancy home.”

Savannah Guthrie pleads as Trump weighs in

In a social media video post, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings said the family is willing to pay for their mother’s safe return. Authorities later confirmed the video was recorded after a message was sent to a Tucson television station the day before.

“We received your message, and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her,” she said in a video posted on social media along with her siblings. “This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

Investigators added that multiple cameras at Nancy Guthrie’s home detected motion that night. One camera did not capture video because the subscription linked to the service was inactive, according to The National Desk.

The situation has intensified to the point that President Donald Trump has contacted the family. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, he said, “We could have some answers coming up fairly soon."
