MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Nicola Coughlan recently turned the mundane into pure entertainment during an appearance on 'The Graham Norton Show' on Friday, December 13.

The 'Bridgerton' star had a whirlwind journey to the studio, which included ditching her wig, hopping on a motorbike for the first time ever, and braving the chaos of London traffic - all to make it to the show on time.

Nicola Coughlan’s hilarious adventure from 'Bridgerton' set to Graham Norton’s couch

As Graham Norton introduced Nicola Coughlan, he quickly pointed out that she looked a little windswept.

“If Nicola looks a little windswept, it's because you rushed here from... was it the set of 'Bridgerton'?” he asked.

Nicola confirmed, laughing, “Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.” She went on to describe the hectic morning that started before dawn.

“Literally, the plan was, I was picked up by, like, four in the morning, and then I got in, I was, like, I’ve got to get the wig off, I’ve got to get on the bike. I’d never been on a motorbike before, and I felt really excited until I got on it," she said.

Her excitement, however, quickly turned into dread. “And then I wanted to die,” she joked, prompting laughter from the audience.

A photo of Nicola on the motorbike flashed on the screen, capturing her look of sheer terror. “If you zoom in, you can really see the fear in my eyes,” she said, eliciting even more laughs.

Despite the nerves, Nicola managed to find humor in the experience, even sharing some banter with her driver.

“I told him I’d never done this before, and he joked, ‘Me neither'," she said, mimicking her panicked reaction: “Ha-ha-ha-ha!”

The audience just couldn’t get enough of her hilarious retelling. Nicola summed up the experience as an unforgettable (albeit terrifying) adventure.

“I’m alive!” she declared triumphantly.

Nicola Coughlan on her experience filming 'Doctor Who's Christmas special

Nicola Coughlan also revealed during 'The Graham Norton Show' that she was hilariously baffled while filming the much-anticipated 'Doctor Who' Christmas special, 'Joy to the World'.

Despite playing a pivotal role alongside Ncuti Gatwa, the Irish actress confessed she struggled to keep up with the iconic show's complex lore.

Speaking on the show alongside Daniel Craig, Jesse Eisenberg, and Kieran Culkin, Coughlan didn’t hold back about her confusion.

"I can’t tell you anything, not because of secrecy, but because I had no idea what was going on," she quipped as The Standard reported.

"I was brought up in Ireland, so didn’t see it as a child. When I got the part, I looked it up on Wikipedia—it was like reading 'War and Peace'! So confusing, with monsters and time travel."

The festive special takes viewers on a time-traveling journey through Earth’s history as the Doctor discovers "danger, dinosaurs, and the Doctor" (his identical version) in the mysterious Time Hotel.

Coughlan's character, Joy, stumbles upon a secret doorway to this enigmatic location, setting the stage for an adventure filled with chaos and wonder.

While she didn’t grow up watching 'Doctor Who' in the west of Ireland, Coughlan embraced the chance to join the show’s storied universe.

"It was a fun experience, and I had a lovely time," she shared with Norton. "If they want me back, I would do it again," Coughlan quickly added.

Her enthusiasm echoes the excitement building among fans, who were recently treated to a trailer of the holiday episode.

In the teaser, Gatwa’s Doctor is seen peeking out of the TARDIS, asking, "Is this Christmas?" before a hotel worker cryptically replies, "We're doing a special Christmas, everywhere, all at once."
