PORTOLA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA: President Joe Biden made another gaffe on Friday when he mistakenly referred to the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, as the President of South Korea.

The 81-year-old incumbent president committed the blunder while criticizing his political adversary, former POTUS Donald Trump, for his relationship with Kim Jong Un, according to the New York Post.

During his address at a campaign rally in the Golden State, Biden said, “We’ll never forget his love letters for the South Korean President Kim Jong Un or his admiration for Putin — what a great leader Putin is.”

President Biden’s verbal gaffe on Friday is the latest in the long list of his blunders

President Joe Biden's recent error happened just over a year after he hosted South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol at the White House for a lavish state dinner. The two leaders also held discussions last August during a summit at Camp David.

This is not the first time President Biden has made a mistake recalling the names of world leaders.

His recent blunder was not even his first involving the South Korean President. In May 2022, during a trip to South Korea, President Biden stumbled over Yoon's name, referring to him as "President Moon" in his remarks after touring a Samsung microchip factory.

It is to be noted that Yoon's predecessor was former President Moon Jae-in.

Over the past year, the President of the United States has made several mistakes while referring to current and former leaders of different countries.

On several instances, the commander-in-chief has incorrectly addressed the Head of State of major US allies like Mexico, Egypt, France, Germany, and Ukraine in his speeches and interviews.

During a NATO summit in Lithuania in July last year, President Biden mistakenly called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “Vladimir,” which appeared to be a mix-up with Russian leader Vladimir Putin

In February, while addressing accusations made by former Special Counsel Robert Hur, President Biden confused Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador during a White House press conference. Hur had accused Biden of having a “poor memory.”

Biden said as he addressed a reporter's question regarding the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, “As you know, initially, the President of Mexico, Sisi, did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian material to get in [to Gaza]. I talked to him. I convinced him to open the gate.”

During the same week, the president made comments on three separate occasions regarding discussions he had, seemingly, with deceased European leaders, pertaining to the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol Building.

Specifically, during two separate events held on February 7, President Joe Biden informed Democratic donors in New York that he had discussed the events of January 6 with former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, whose passing occurred almost five years prior to the event in question.

It is believed that the president intended to name Angela Merkel, the former German Chancellor, instead, since Kohl passed away in 2017.

President Biden said at one of the fundraisers, “Helmut Kohl said, ‘Joe, what would you think if you picked up the phone and picked up the paper tomorrow and learned in the London Times, on the front page, that 1,000 people stormed the Parliament, broke down the doors of the House of Commons and killed 2 bobbies in the process … trying to stop the election of a prime minister?’”

During his speech in Las Vegas on February 4th, President Biden recounted the same story, with the only difference being that he recalled former French President Francois Mitterrand presenting him with the aforementioned hypothetical.

It is important to note that Mitterrand passed away in 1996, and the President apparently meant to refer to the current French President, Emmanuel Macron.

These verbal slipups are part of a series that have raised concerns about the President's mental acuity as he seeks reelection to the White House this November.

If re-elected in 2024, Biden, the oldest President in American history, would be 86 years old at the end of his second term.

Internet mocks Biden for his slip-ups

One X user remarked, "But sure, he’s totally fit for 4 more years."

Another user said, "Biden is not fit to serve!"

Another user wrote, "How do we have a president that poses as if he is cool when he is truly such a loser."

One user claimed, "Biden is making too many mistakes to be a President anymore."

Another X user quipped, "At this rate it would be easier to track the things Biden says that aren’t blunders."

Finally, this user tweeted, "Biden has to go."
