WASHINGTON, DC: During the official visit of King Abdullah II of Jordan on Monday, February 12, President Joe Biden appeared confused about his positioning after his remarks at the White House press conference.

The 81-year-old incumbent was observed pacing back and forth in a perplexed manner behind King Abdullah, prior to the latter's address, according to a report from the New York Post.

Joe Biden’s mannerisms prompted uproar online citing his advanced age

“Your majesty, over to you,” Biden told Jordan’s monarch after welcoming him to the White House.

As King Abdullah II was preparing for his speech, President Biden lumbered around behind him and appeared indecisive about his position behind the podium.

Biden peered down at the floor as if looking for a mark indicating where he should stand.

The Commander-in-Chief initially shuffled between two different spots before settling for his first choice, which was on Abdullah's left side, and in front of the Jordanian flag.

The President's indecision seemed to have unsettled King Abdullah, who at one point expected to see Biden behind him but found he was not there.

"I switched sides on you," Biden explained before switching to the king's left side.

The President’s perplexing antics occurred just a few days after Special Counsel Robert Hur, chose against recommending criminal charges against the incumbent concerning his handling of classified White House documents.

The comprehensive report spanning 388 pages indicated that Hur's decision was influenced, in part, by the possibility that a jury may view Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

According to Hur's report, Biden was unable to recall the years he served as Vice President under Barack Obama's administration and the year his son, Beau Biden, passed away.

RNC Research, an X account operated by the Republican National Committee, capitalized on the faux pas by Biden by posting a clip of the video with the caption, “BIDEN: What am I doing? Where am I going?”

However, several others defended the current POTUS, saying the incident wasn't as concerning as it is being projected.

According to public polling conducted over the past year, a significant majority of voters have expressed concerns regarding President Joe Biden's mental fitness for office.

An ABC News/Ipsos poll, released after the Hur report, indicates that 86% of Americans believe that President Biden is "too old" to be in office.

In comparison, 62% of respondents held the same opinion about former President Donald Trump, who is currently seeking a rematch against the incumbent in the upcoming November general election, this year.

Internet trolls Joe Biden over repeated public gaffes

People on X ridiculed the sitting President of the United States for his repeated slip-ups and perplexing antics caught on-camera.

One X user remarked, "Nothing new."

"Translation: “I pissed off my voter base in an election year.”," another user wrote,

Another user claimed, "The filter is always the first thing to go in dementia. You start saying things you'd normally just think. Everything you've kept hidden slips out. We call them Freudian slips for healthy people. But for dementia patients, Freudian slips are the norm."

"Bro is struggling’," one user quipped.

Another X user said, "Joe doesn't know where he is let alone where Gaza is at this point."

A user tweeted, "You can’t make this stuff up!"
