LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pro-Palestinian protesters dramatically interrupted First Lady Jill Biden's keynote speech at a high-profile Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 23, as per Daily Mail.

During her speech at the LGBTQ rights organization's fundraising event, a cohort of activists unveiled a banner with the inscription "Queer Jews say ceasefire now" and initiated fervent chants, demanding an immediate cessation of hostilities in the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

The jarring protest, which saw security forcibly remove the demonstrators from the venue, sparked an outpouring of reactions across the Internet.

First Lady Jill Biden didn't acknowledge the pro-Palestinian protesters

The protesters, who had managed to gain entry into the event, were eventually escorted out by security guards after their banner was pulled down. Jill's supporters attempted to overpower the protest by vocally rallying behind President Joe Biden's reelection campaign, chanting "Four more years."

Despite the commotion, the first lady paused momentarily but continued her remarks without directly acknowledging the protest.

Meanwhile, outside the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, scores of additional demonstrators assembled, brandishing flags of Palestine and proclaiming "Long live Palestine" through their chants.

The Human Rights Campaign dinner honored actors Jean Smart and Sterling K Brown for their contributions to advancing LGBTQ equality.

First Lady Jill recently embarked on a fundraising tour across Southern California, commencing with a gathering at Dr Patricia Gordon's residence in Hancock Park, which managed to garner $1 million.

Protest comes amid ongoing negotiations between Israel and Hamas for a potential ceasefire

Currently, Israel and Hamas are negotiating a potential ceasefire to alleviate the crisis faced by civilians caught in the crossfire. A lengthy ceasefire would allow for the release of hostages and the delivery of aid to affected areas, but the parties are yet to reach an agreement regarding the terms of the ceasefire.

The conflict has drawn global attention and criticism, with many calling for an immediate resolution to prevent further loss of life and humanitarian suffering.

Internet reacts to protesters interrupting Jill Biden's Human Rights Campaign dinner split

One remarked, "PERFECT venue for it," while another said, "Biden is in deep trouble. He still has time to drop out before the Convention, just sayin'. This is for him what Vietnam was for Johnson."

A person questioned the Biden administration's commitment to human rights, expressing, "How are you giving a speech at the human rights campaign while your husband helps violate the human rights of millions in Palestine? This needed to happen because why the f**k is she even there? If she wanted to talk about human rights she needs to start with her husband."

Someone else noted, "Well done, you’re unstoppable!"
