WASHINGTON, DC: Piers Morgan predicted a swift end to Vice President Kamala Harris' favorable period as Americans start to scrutinize her record as "the most far-left senator in modern American history."

He made the statement during his recent appearance on 'Fox News Saturday Night', where he discussed the upcoming November election with host Jimmy Failla.

Piers Morgan questions Kamala Harris' capacity to defeat Donald Trump in light of Joe Biden's exit

Piers Morgan compared former President Donald Trump to Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, noting their shared showmanship and unyielding energy despite their ages. He observed that the GOP presidential candidate's political influence is only intensifying as the election approaches.

"Both of them are showmen and have not slowed down at their ages, and I think Trump is just getting started in terms of this election," said Morgan.

Shifting to a more serious tone about the forthcoming election, the veteran journalist expressed doubts about Harris' ability to succeed against Trump.

He speculated that President Joe Biden's exit from the race was orchestrated by Democratic elites, likening their behavior to the treacherous characters depicted in the 1990 mafia film 'Goodfellas'.

"I think the whole thing has been a fascinating exercise in the ruthless betrayal nature of politics," remarked Morgan, adding, "One minute they are all over you like a rash and the next minute you are a rash."

Piers Morgan predicts Kamala Harris' 'honeymoon' phase will end once Donald Trump goes hard on her record

Subsequently, Jimmy Failla brought up the issue of media portrayal surrounding Kamala Harris, saying, "Now we are being told she’s the greatest person in the world despite the fact she ran for president and when she dropped out she was polling behind ISIS."

Morgan responded by predicting a quick end to Harris' current positive press. He said, "She’s getting a fantastically amazing honeymoon, and it’s going to last about a week."

"Then reality will kick in, and Donald Trump will start going very hard, as he already is about her record, and her record is she is literally, probably the most far-left senator in modern American history," claimed the English broadcaster.

Harris served as the junior senator from California from 2017 to 2021.

Piers Morgan's criticisms of Kamala Harris sparks debate

Piers Morgan's critiques of Kamala Harris ignited a variety of reactions from netizens

One wrote, "As a Democrat who identifies as a progressive liberal, I found her to be quite moderate which is why my 2020 primary vote was left of her. I don't know how anyone can truthfully say she is more left than Bernie Sanders or Liz Warren."

Another said, "But she laughs and speaks in complicated sentences that confuse trumpanzees!"

A person slammed Morgan, writing, "Nobody cares what Piers Morgan thinks," while someone else remarked, "He isn't even qualified to vote."

"Piers has a real problem with women and especially non-white women. The way he's obsessed over megan markle comes to mind. Not to mention, you're saying Kamala is more liberal than Bernie Sanders? What an idiot," expressed one more.

An individual stated, "Morgan is repulsive. Fox is the only network to currently denigrate itself further by putting him on the air in America. And even then, he's on a show no one really watches so it's less of an embarrassment."
