Prince Harry reveals one major rule he and Meghan Markle follow in their marriage
LONDON, UK: Prince Harry has revealed one rule he and his wife, Meghan Markle, follow in their marriage.
The Duke of Sussex has been married to Meghan since 2018, and they have two children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Prince Harry says he gets energy and happiness from his children
Now, recently on new MasterClass, ‘Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss’, Harry said, “The biggest factor for me is the energy and the joy and happiness that I get being with my family, especially our kids, and the joy and happiness I get by being on the ground for my work.”
“The key to finding the joy and happiness balance is no more than 10 days away from my wife and kids,” he mentioned, before adding, “This is balancing my work and the purpose behind that as well as being a dad and a husband and the sort of multi-identity elements coming together.”
Prince Harry claims he became depressed in Canada
Elsewhere during the sit-down, Harry opened up about his depression after moving to Canada from the UK in late 2019.
He explained, “Being in Canada, away from the stressful environment where presumably my body was just pumped full of adrenaline, within two or three days, I experienced this adrenaline crash, something that I’d never experienced before.”
The father-of-two further mentioned that he understood he “needed stress in order to get the adrenaline to make my brain function because I became useless around the house.”
“I actually slipped into depression for about two weeks and I felt like I couldn’t function without adrenaline,” Harry claimed.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left UK 'to become financially independent'
Harry and the former actress had shared in early 2020 that they stepped down from the senior British royal family members’ roles to take a “progressive new” one.
The couple’s statement read, “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.”
“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” they stated.
The Sussexes had also added that they’ll “balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties."
