WASHINGTON, DC: In a notable exclusion, President Joe Biden has failed to make TIME Magazine's prestigious "100 Most Influential People" list for 2024, marking the first time he has been left off during his presidency, as per Fox News.

This exclusion has sparked widespread mockery and criticism across social media, with many citing it as a reflection of the administration's declining influence and the oresident's perceived struggles.

Vice President Kamala Harris shares the spotlight of exclusion, further highlighting a departure from the norm. Even though they were not included, both Biden and Harris provided tributes celebrating other individuals featured in the list.

While Biden and his 2024 rival, former President Donald Trump, were both absent from the list, two notable governors found themselves among the selected individuals. Texas Republican Greg Abbott and California Democrat Gavin Newsom were recognized for their rising national profiles and potential future ambitions.

TIME's Senior Correspondent Philip Elliott praised Abbott as a "talented room reader" and "one of his party's most persuasive pitchmen," despite what Elliott described as "some glaring missteps."

Trump has previously expressed admiration for Abbott's handling of border issues, fueling speculation about a potential vice-presidential nod.

Meanwhile, Newsom's inclusion has reignited rumors of his aspirations for higher office, with TIME's Brian Bennett suggesting he could be a Democratic contender for the 2028 presidential race. Bennett noted Newsom's role as a "full-throated attack dog" for Biden, potentially positioning himself as a successor.

The list, released on Wednesday, April 17, features a wide range of personalities including artists, entrepreneurs, athletes, activists, and politicians. Noteworthy mentions on the list include former columnist E Jean Carroll and Special Counsel Jack Smith.
