Sharon Osbourne defends Kelly over weight-loss criticism: ‘Negativity is a shield for unhappy people’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sharon Osbourne is done staying polite. The 73-year-old matriarch fiercely defended her daughter Kelly Osbourne after online critics targeted the 41-year-old’s appearance while she is still grieving the recent death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July. And this time, Sharon isn’t sugar-coating a thing.
Her comments came during a December 10 appearance on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored,' where Morgan aired Kelly’s emotional video addressing the wave of cruel remarks accusing her of being “ill,” “on Ozempic,” or simply “not looking right.”

Kelly Osbourne fires back at body-shaming trolls while mourning Ozzy Osbourne
In the clip, Kelly did not hide the anger or exhaustion she has been carrying since losing her father.
“To the people who keep thinking they're being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill?’ or ‘Get off Ozempic,’ or ‘You don't look right,’ my dad just died, and I'm doing the best that I can,” she said. Kelly explained that, right now, her world is overwhelmingly centered on family.

“The only thing I have to live for right now is my family,” she continued. “And I choose to share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side.” She ended her message with a blunt directive to the trolls: “F**k off.”
Sharon Osbourne defends Kelly Osbourne, calling out toxic online comments
Sharon, watching the clip with Morgan, didn’t hesitate to jump in. “She’s right,” Sharon said. “She’s lost her daddy. She can’t eat right now.”
The longtime TV host then turned her attention to the culture of online hate, calling out how strangers hide behind screens to unleash comments they would never dare to say in public. “Negative comments are a shield for people that are unhappy,” she said. “How many times have we been wrong about somebody because of our perception?”
She pointed out the absurdity of spending intentional energy tearing someone down. “You and I don’t take the point where we’d waste a second of our lives writing something about them,” she told Morgan. “That’s a lot of effort.”
And while Sharon admitted she sometimes feels sorry for such people, she didn’t hold back about what their behavior reveals: “They’ve something wrong with their lives. They’re not happy.”
Kelly Osbourne says getting out of bed is ‘more than enough’ right now
Later that day, Kelly returned to Instagram Stories with a follow-up message that was just as raw as her first.
She said she has received “many lovely, lovely, lovely comments” from people supporting her through her grief, but she didn’t shy away from addressing the darker side of it. “What do you expect me to look like right now?” Kelly asked. “The fact that I'm getting out of bed and facing my life and trying should be more than enough.”
“Most of the things you're saying about me,” she told her detractors, “is how you feel about yourself.”
Kelly, who shares her 3-year-old son Sidney with fiance Sid Wilson, made it clear she is focusing on survival, motherhood, and healing, not strangers’ opinions.
