LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Madison Brush, the sister of Garrison Brown and daughter of ‘Sister Wives’ stars Janelle Brown and Kody Brown, recently opened up about her brother’s tragic death.

Brown reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his Arizona apartment on March 5.

He was 25 years old. The official cause of death is pending. 

Madison Brush says there was no lack of love for Garrison Brown

Brush took to Instagram to share her feelings and reflections in the weeks following the tragedy. Brush stressed the importance of mental health, a topic she believes is not discussed enough.

Disclosing her feelings and what her brother was facing she said, “Mental health is so important, and I don’t think we talk about it enough" adding, "And I don't think we do enough to bring awareness."

She said, "It wasn't bullying. It wasn't a lack of love that Garrison had, it was mental health. And I am going to continue talking about mental health and self-care until I am blue in the face."

Was Garrison Brown entangled in the Illusion of social media?

Brush, while sending a stern warning about the deceptive nature of social media said, "Time is so precious."

Brush revealed that Garrison often felt inadequate as he compared himself to others on social media platforms.

She added, "Social media is not real, it's a highlight reel and that was something that Garrison and I talked a lot about." 

“Garrison used to feel like he wasn’t doing enough because he was comparing himself to things on social media, and I don’t think that it’s real and I think we need to remember that,” she noted.

How Brown family is coping with the loss of Garrison Brown

In terms of coping with the loss, Brush disclosed that the Brown family has united in their grief despite their differences and disagreements.

"I've had a phenomenal community show up and also my siblings," she said.

Brush added, "We're all very strongly opinionated people, and we have disagreements on other things, but that way we can show up for each other and love each other even in this time with our differences," as ET reported. 

"Thank you to all of you who have shown love and kindness in the last few weeks," she added.
