Tamron Hall called ‘worse than Ellen DeGeneres’ as ex-staffer brands her daytime show ‘nest of vipers’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tamron Hall has been accused of being “worse than Ellen DeGeneres” as many former staffers and insiders have revealed the toxic environment on set.
Calling out ABC’s ‘The Tamron Hall Show’, they have branded the daily talk show a “nest of vipers” and worse, as reported by RadarOnline.

Tamron Hall’s show set environment compared to infamous ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
According to an ex-staffer, the environment on the set of 'The Tamron Hall Show' is so "toxic" that people working there are all "miserable".
“One of the senior producers (said) that it was better at Ellen,” said the source, who also alleged that the daytime talk show was full of “nepotism and favoritism (behind-the-scenes).”
“If you're not part of that cliquey environment, you're treated like someone who should not be there,” they stated.
Not only that, Hall has also been blasted for being someone who can be “scatty to deal with.”
The former staffer revealed, “Guests sometimes could be beefing with Tamron, and they'll just refuse to appear on the show.”

“They might cancel two or three days ahead because of some type of issue they might have with her. Oftentimes, I would pitch meetings with her that would almost always start late,” the source added.
Notably, in 2020, Ellen DeGeneres' name had been in the news for months for similar reasons. She was accused of fostering a toxic workplace environment on the set of her once-very-popular chat show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’.

The allegations were first published by BuzzFeed News, citing multiple current and former employees.
“That ‘be kind’ bulls**t only happens when the cameras are on. It’s all for show. I know they give money to people and help them out, but it’s for show," one former employee had claimed.
Most of the former employees blamed executive producers and other senior managers for the toxicity, but one former employee said that Ellen "really needs to take more responsibility” for the workplace environment, per BuzzFeed News.
After the controversy, ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ went off air in May 2022. Then in 2024, DeGeneres said, “I got kicked out of show business. There’s no mean people in show business,” as per The Guardian.
‘The Tamron Hall Show’ staffers not paid well
Meanwhile, the ex-employee of 'The Tamron Hall Show' further claimed that the 54-year-old broadcaster does not think twice before calling off chats because she “had a conflict.”
"Everything ran late," the source continued.

Besides, junior employees are allegedly treated badly and regularly scolded for their “laziness.”
“Managers regularly make insinuations that staff are not working hard enough, that they are not dedicated enough. They are not paying people adequately, the work hours are insane,” the mole said.
Tamron Hall ‘believes the only opinion that matters is her opinion’
This came a few years after, in 2021, a separate staffer called Tamron Hall “a difficult boss” who liked to be surrounded by only “yes” men.

It was also disclosed that because of her, beloved executive producer, Candi Carter, left the show, as per RadarOnline.
At the time, a network tipster shared, “Candi was so done with Tamron that she requested that ABC take her off the show. The environment that Tamron has created on her show is toxic. It is literally bleeding staff.”
Another insider claimed, “Tamron didn't like that Candi tried to steer the ship and had ideas that clashed with hers, because Tamron believes the only opinion that matters is her opinion.”
“When you work with Tamron, it's her way or the highway. Candi's now on that highway to a much better job away from the cattiness that is destroying Tamron's show,” they added.
Carter is now the CEO of Cistus Media.
