KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift’s reaction to Travis Kelce’s viral comment on Donald Trump attending the Super Bowl has finally come out, with an insider revealing that the songstress is “not angry” at her boyfriend.

During a recent interview, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end described it as an “honor” to have the president attend the Super Bowl when he was asked about his feelings about having Trump at the NFL extravaganza.

While Kelce’s comment angered a huge section of Swifties, who lambasted the athlete for not defending his girlfriend’s honor -- referencing the acrimonious equation between Swift and Trump -- the insider revealed all is well between the lovebirds.

Taylor Swift is ‘not angry’ at Travis Kelce

Speaking to Daily Mail, a source recently revealed that though Swifties have been angered by Kelce’s comment, in reality, there has been “no blowout” between the couple over the past comment.

The 35-year-old athlete has been at the receiving end of Swift’s devoted fan base ever since he said it was an “honor” to have the president’s attending the upcoming Supr Bowl in New Orleans.

As the Chiefs are set to take on their old foe Philadelphia Eagles at the Super Bowl on February 8, Kelce sat for a press conference recently.

When he was asked about Trump’s decision to attend the game, Kelce replied, “It's awesome. It's a great honor, I think, no matter who the president is.” He continued, “I'm excited because it's the biggest game of my life and having the president there — it's the best country in the world — and that's pretty cool.”

While Swifties were left seething at Kelce’s genial comments, the source shared, “Taylor is not angry at Travis for what he said.”

“Although Travis’s quote was taken as he supports Trump, this is not what Travis said at all,” explained the source, and noted, “He never actually even said the word Trump.”

The insider continued, “Travis was speaking on behalf of his entire team and all of his fans when he said it is an honor to have the President of the United States at the game and he would have said the same thing regardless of who the president was.”

“So no, there is no fight, no argument and no blowout over this,” clarified the source before gushing at Swift being the greatest supporter of the celebrated tight end.

They added, “Taylor is just so proud of Travis and cannot wait to be there to support him.”

“Cheering him on has become so exciting for her,” declared the mole, before concluding, “Taylor is Travis's biggest cheerleader."

Taylor Swift and Donald Trump’s long history of feud

While Kelce might be a new entrant in the battleground between Swift and Trump, the Grammy winner and the politician have long been at loggerheads, with the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker first getting political in 2018 during the US midterm elections, per Toronto Star.

Expressing her support for Tennessee Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper for the Senate and House of Representatives, Swift penned a long post.

Calling Republican Senate candidate (and later winner) Marsha Blackburn’s voting record “appalling and terrifying,” Swift wrote, “In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now.”

Though she did not name then-President Donald Trump in her post, she did not shy away from voicing her opinions.

Later in her 2020 ‘Miss Americana’ documentary, Swift publicly denounced Trump and expressed her regret for not speaking out earlier.

When the ‘Lavender Haze’ singer was warned by her business partners that speaking out could cost half of her fan base, the Grammy winner said, “I don't care if they write that. I need to be on the right side of history,” as reported by Daily Mail.

In May 2020, firing at Trump, she wrote on social media, “We will vote you out in November.” Meanwhile, Swift also endorsed the then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

While all was quiet for almost four years after the 2020 election, Swift and trump’s renewed friction started in the election year of 2024.

In February 2024, Trump wrote on Truth Social claiming “there’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden” who “didn’t do anything for Taylor and never will.”

He also dedicated a special segment to Swift’s boyfriend, writing, “Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”

In September of the same year, however, Swift took to her Instagram one more time to dispel the rumor of her supporting Trump in the general election and gave a shout-out to Vice President Kamala Harris.

She wrote, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

Earlier in the post, she also addressed the rumor of her supporting Trump, and noted, “Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

Her long post also received a short response from Trump, who fired back without mincing words, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” per CBS News.
