NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jonathan Majors, the acclaimed actor, is once again in the spotlight as multiple women have recently stepped forward, leveling additional abuse allegations against him.

These fresh allegations surface in the wake of Majors' conviction in December for third-degree misdemeanor assault and second-degree harassment.

The charges, which pertained to a domestic violence case, were linked to an alleged altercation between Majors and his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in New York City in March 2023, per People.

A recent report from the New York Times, published on Thursday, February 8 features in-depth accounts from two women, Emma Duncan and Maura Hooper, who claim to have been in a relationship with the Marvel actor Jonathan Majors.

Duncan alleges both physical and emotional abuse, while Hooper accuses him of emotional abuse.

Priya Chaudhry, the actor's lawyer, characterizes the relationships with both women as 'toxic'.

She reportedly acknowledges that Majors "did say hurtful things," but refutes any of the physical abuse allegations.

"These relationships were between young drama students and all began with mutual intensity," Chaudhry stated.

"Hooper and Majors dated from 2013 to 2015, while his relationship with Duncan lasted from 2015 to 2019."

The previous relationship reportedly involved an episode where Hooper fell pregnant. After Majors took her to an abortion clinic, he allegedly failed to fulfill his promise of accompanying her back home.

"Mr. Majors and Ms. Hooper mutually agreed that they should end the pregnancy," Chaudhry mentioned.

"That deeply sad event is still a painful memory for Mr. Majors."

During his time at the Yale School of Drama in 2015, Majors reportedly began a relationship with Duncan, during which he frequently made violent threats.

Duncan, who was engaged to Majors for the duration of their four-year relationship, recounted an episode to the Times where Majors allegedly hurled her across a room.

Chaudhry, however, refuted the occurrence of such an incident, while acknowledging that "many serious arguments" did take place.

In response to the allegations from both women, the lawyer stated that Majors is opting to take accountability for his actions, rather than highlighting instances of their "troubling behavior."

He is reportedly concentrating on self-improvement and addressing his lifelong struggle with depression.

The actor Majors is reportedly facing a sentencing hearing in the Jabbari case, which has been postponed to April 8. He has pleaded not guilty and could potentially be sentenced to a year in prison.

In addition, a Times article, based on interviews with Majors' colleagues from the HBO drama 'Lovecraft Country', portrays him as friendly with male technicians and craftspeople, but allegedly argumentative and intimidating towards female crew members.

Despite HBO's advice for him to apologize, Chaudhry stated that Majors was never informed of any objections to his behavior.
