LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ana Navarro, the host of 'The View', defended President Joe Biden on CNN this Tuesday, June 11, calling him "the most religious president" of her lifetime.

Navarro offered a clarification in response to remarks made by former President Donald Trump earlier this week accusing Democrats of being "against your religion," according to Fox News.

What did 'The View' host Ana Navarro say?

'It's crazy for him to say Democrats are against religion at a time when we are led by Joe Biden, who, in my lifetime, is the most religious president I can recall," Navarro said. "[Biden's] not a Christian conservative. He's an Irish Catholic church-going practicing Catholic."

Navarro also criticized evangelical voters who still stood by the former president, despite wanting him to take a firmer stance on issues like abortion. "I think a lot of evangelicals crossed that bridge already and they did so in 2016 after they voted for Donald Trump after they heard him boast about sexual assault on video and on tape," she remarked, per the outlet.

Ana Navarro describes herself as a Republican

Although Navarro, a former GOP strategist, still identifies as a Republican, she regularly stands up for Democrats when she appears on CNN or 'The View'.

In a March episode of 'The View', she led a chant in support of Biden, "four more years," and even organized a fundraiser for him during the 2020 election campaign.

In addition, Navarro denounced Trump surrogates as "bizarre" and "crazy" for drawing parallels between the former president and Jesus Christ due to the former's legal disputes.

Donald Trump urged Christian voters to support him in the November election

In his prerecorded speech at the Life & Liberty Forum on Monday, June 10, Trump encouraged Christians to vote for him in November. "You just can’t vote Democrat. They’re against religion. They’re against your religion in particular," Trump said to the Christian group, according to Politico.

The GOP presidential candidate made similar remarks at a religious media summit in February. "How any Christian can vote for a Democrat, Christian or person of faith, how you can vote for a Democrat is crazy. It’s crazy," Trump told attendees at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) International Christian Media Convention in Nashville.

Trump bemoaned the indictments that had been brought against him in the past during his speech and promised to protect Christians from attacks by the "radical left" who are "coming after" people who practice religion.

Internet slams Ana Navarro for calling Joe Biden 'most religious president'

Netizens mocked 'The View' host for her recent comments on President Biden.

One X (formerly Twitter) user asked, "What religion are you talking about, the one that approves Abortion?" Another asked, "Was she born last night?"

"You wonder sometime what planet (or drug den) these ladies came from…," said another.

"Well he looks to be closer to meeting God than any other President so maybe she’s right," wrote one user while another chimed in, "Showing up at church doesn’t make you a religious person. I learned a long time ago. People show up on Sunday morning just to show up."
