'This is nauseating': Greene slams Trump's Graham endorsement, urges voters to 'get out of the cult'
WASHINGTON, DC: Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) on Saturday, April 11, publicly criticized Senator Lindsey Graham and questioned President Donald Trump’s political endorsements, citing a past rally in South Carolina.
In a detailed statement, Greene described crowd reactions at the event and argued that Trump’s backing of certain candidates ran counter to voter sentiment. Her remarks came as Trump reaffirmed his endorsement of Graham ahead of a primary challenge.
MTG recalls rally moment and claims crowd booed Lindsey Graham
In her statement, Greene expressed strong opposition to Graham and suggested that his political positions did not align with a segment of Republican voters.
“This is nauseating,” she said, before recounting a rally appearance in South Carolina.
“I spoke at a Trump rally right before Lindsey Graham in 2024 in SC in Lindsey Graham’s home county. During my speech, I said no more money to the Ukraine war and talked about no more US involvement in foreign wars, and the massive crowd roared with cheers,” Greene said.
She described the audience’s response to Graham’s remarks following her speech. “After I finished, Lindsey Graham came on stage and was booed for the entirety of his speech until he finally quit and walked off stage."

"In his home state. In his home county, where he was born and raised. This is all documented and on many videos," she added.
Greene also linked the incident to Trump’s continued support for Graham. “And Trump knew it happened, he heard the crowd. Lindsey Graham is exactly what Americans voted to get rid of in 2024, but Trump fights tooth and nail to protect,” she said.
She further criticized Trump’s endorsement record, stating, “The vast majority of Trump’s endorsements are for politicians that always protect the swamp establishment and the deep state.”
Greene urged voters to reconsider their choices, adding, “Open your eyes and get out of the cult. The Trump endorsement should be a warning label proving that candidate will obey the very system that you hate and will be most likely funded by AIPAC which promotes Israel’s interest over America. Vote for candidates that are America FIRST!!!”
Trump reiterates endorsement of Lindsey Graham amid primary challenge
Trump has continued to back Graham as the South Carolina senator faces a primary challenger.
In a recent post, Trump praised Graham’s record and urged Republican voters to support him. “Senator Lindsey Graham is doing a fantastic job. He is running against a LUNATIC named Mark Lynch, who supports perhaps the Worst Congressman in the History of our Country, Thomas Massie, of the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky,” Trump wrote.

“I don’t have to go into great detail, but needless to say, Mark Lynch would be a DISASTER for the Republican Party, and Lindsey Graham just, GETS THE JOB DONE. VOTE FOR LINDSEY ALL THE WAY,” he added.
Trump had previously issued a formal endorsement of Graham’s re-election, stating, “Senator Lindsey Graham has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election, HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. Everyone in South Carolina should help Lindsey have a BIG WIN next year!”
Graham has been active in foreign policy discussions, including issues related to Iran, and has engaged with international leaders and intelligence officials. He has said such engagements provide additional perspectives beyond US government sources.
