Tom Parker's widow Kelsey pays tribute to 'kind soul' Liam Payne after singer's tragic death

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted's Tom Parker, paid tribute to former One Direction member Liam Payne after his tragic death.

The 31-year-old singer died on Wednesday, October 16, after falling from a balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Liam's death comes over two years after Kelsey lost her husband Tom in March 2022 to stage four glioblastoma. He was 33 years old.

Kelsey Parker was devastated on hearing news of Liam Payne's death

Liam Payne was a source of support for Kelsey Parker and members of The Wanted after Tom Parker's death. 

Kelsey took to Instagram to express her heartbreak at the loss of Liam, posting a black-and-white photo in tribute.

She wrote, "Devastated hearing the news. Liam you were one of the kindest souls who supported Tom and I. You’ve continued to support me and the children in recent years ❤️. I will never forget the love and support you showed to us."

In her message, Kelsey offered a heartfelt reminder of the fragility of life, urging fans to treasure their loved ones: "SO LOVE A LITTLE DEEPER, HUG A LITTLE TIGHTER, AND NEVER PASS UP THE CHANCE TO SAY 'I LOVE YOU' TO THOSE YOU LOVE BECAUSE TOMORROW IS NEVER PROMISED. 🙏🏻✨❤️."

Tom and Kelsey, who married in 2018, welcomed two children, daughter Aurelia Rose and son Bodhi Thomas.

Members of The Wanted pay tribute to Liam Payne

The Wanted's lead vocalist Max George also paid tribute to Liam Payne, reflecting on the strong bond they shared, particularly during bandmate Tom Parker's illness.

He wrote on Instagram, "Absolutely devastating news. I met Liam way back when 1D were on X Factor. Over the last few years I had the pleasure of getting to know him personally and spent some treasured time with him."

"Liam was absolutely wonderful in terms of support when Tom fell ill, performing at the Royal Albert Hall with us for Stand Up To Cancer. He supported me a lot personally after Tom passed. I will never forget that," shared the 36-year-old. 

Max extended his thoughts to Liam's family, friends, and fans, saying, "My thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans all around the world at this tragic time. Rest in Peace Liam. Much love brother 🖤."

He concluded his message with a prayer and a red heart emoji.

While Liam's former One Direction bandmates—Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson—have yet to comment publicly, Harry's mother, Anne Twist, shared a touching tribute on Instagram, posting three simple yet poignant words, "Just a boy," accompanied by a broken heart emoji.
