LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tori Spelling has shared a parenting trick that's both clever and candidly lazy.

In the latest podcast episode, the 51-year-old actress shared that she has been dressing her youngest son, Beau, in his school clothes the night before to save time.

Laughing about her unconventional method, Spelling explained how this new routine not only grants her a few extra minutes of sleep but also has her 7-year-old happily on board.

Tori Spelling admits dressing Beau in school clothes before bed

Tori Spelling has revealed her top lazy-mom hack on her 'MisSPELLING' podcast. In the August 27 episode, the 51-year-old actress told Debbie Gibson, 53, that she has been dressing her youngest son, Beau, in his school clothes the night before.

“It's so bad. I've gotten so lazy with my youngest one because there's so many, that at night I put him in his clothes for the next day, before bed,” Spelling admitted with a laugh, adding, “And convinced him that it's cool to do that.”

She explained how she’s “rationalized” this new routine with her 7-year-old, saying, “So, he has dinner, he takes his bath — sometimes — but then I say, ‘Hey, dude, it will save an extra five minutes if we get dressed now and then you can sleep later,’ and I can sleep later, wink wink,” Spelling shared. "So he's like, 'Yeah.' So, he sleeps in his clothes."

Spelling playfully asked, “Am I a bad mom?”

In addition to Beau, she is also the mother of Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, and Finn, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband Dean McDermott, as per People.

Recently, Spelling celebrated Beau’s kindergarten graduation by sharing photos on Instagram. She captioned the June 8 post, “Beau Beau 🐻 is officially a 1st grader. Yesterday he had his end-of-year Kindergarten party at school. So proud of this kid! My Baby.”

In the images, Spelling, dressed in a cropped Led Zeppelin T-shirt and jeans with zippers, stood next to Beau, who was holding his certificate. Beau kept it casual in Nike joggers and an oversized green shirt.

After Tori Spelling's podcast discussion about her approach to managing her children's tasks, many internet users criticized her for not teaching her kids to handle these responsibilities themselves.

One user wrote, "What time does this save, though? 60 seconds? I don't get it." The seocnd user slammed, "At 7, Beau, is old enough to pick out his clothes the night before and get dressed on his own in the morning. Admitting she is lazy and encourages him to wear his clothes to be is irresponsible. What a sad lesson in responsibility she is setting is so very sad. What’s paramount to all this is her ego at getting an audience that highlights her inability to parent responsibly."

Another user wrote, "Thats something she should have kept to herself. Now these kids have something to make fun of him about."

A user suggested, "Or have the clothes laid out and everything for the next day ready to go. I would understand doing this if she had multiple little kids. All of her other children are more than capable of getting themselves ready."

One more person added, “Set the clothes out the night before and get dressed in the morning. Those 2 things together will take a total of 4 minutes.”

The other questioned, “He’s 7! He can’t get dressed by himself???”

Someone else said, “That's not just lazy but kinda dumb considering that child is going to be a wrinkled mess for school.!”

The last user said, "That’s a bad idea! He needs to learn how to get up and get dressed quickly… not just wear his clothes to bed.."
