Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift said to be 'secretly engaged' after she plays 'cryptic' song at Eras Tour
GELSENKIRCHEN, GERMANY: Taylor Swift's fans are abuzz with speculation that the pop star is secretly engaged to her partner, NFL star Travis Kelce.
The theory has emerged after Swift performed a "cryptic" surprise song during her Eras Tour in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, on Friday night, July 19.
Fans think Taylor Swift’s song choice hints at her engagement to Travis Kelce
On the third and final night in the city, Taylor Swift performed a mashup of 'Stay, Stay, Stay' and 'Paper Rings' on guitar, Daily Mail noted.
'Paper Rings' from her 2019 'Lover' album features lyrics such as "I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings" and "darling, you're the one I want."

Although 'Paper Rings' was written during Swift's relationship with her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, fans believe she chose to sing the song because she might be engaged to Kelce.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been romantically involved since 2023
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship timeline first began in July 2023 when the NFL star attended her Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium, where he plays football for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kelce was seen watching the show from his private box and trading friendship bracelets with fans inside the venue.
The NFL star had planned to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but the two didn’t connect after the show.
"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings, so I was a little butthurt that I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her," explained Kelce on his podcast.
After talking back and forth, Swift and Kelce met in person in New York.
"I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there," Kelce said of their first date.
Swift noted that they started hanging out right after "Travis very adorably put [her] on blast on his podcast," which she joked was "metal as hell."
Fans think Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are 'secretly engaged'
Fans are convinced that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged even when they haven't confirmed it. The fans said Swift singing 'Paper Rings' was her act of proposal and announcement that they were engaged.
A fan posted on X (formerly Twitter), "you’re the one i want in paper rings, in picture frames, in all my dreams, so i think that it’s best if we both stay SHE JUST PROPOSED TO TRAVIS KELCE ON STAGE."

One commented, "it was so perfect," and another added, "yess Confirmed probably secretly engaged lol."
Fans have been speculating heavily on social media. "They are so engaged, right? I mean, it's a done deal at this point," wrote one fan.
Another added, "Probably already engaged is my guess."
One fan was split between possibilities: "I’m split between they are engaged and she is trying to drop hints OR she is trying to hint to Travis she is ready and waiting on the question."
"Maybe this is the final hint, before the official announcement," one fan speculated, while another stated, "Firmly believe they are already engaged."
Another fan wrote, "Nah she said we're engaged basically."
