Travis Kelce hit with hefty fine for starting brawl that got him headbutted during Chiefs vs Bills game
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Travis Kelce has been fined by the NFL for starting a brawl during the AFC Championship game that subsequently got him headbutted.
Last week on Sunday, January 26, Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills for the AFC Championship game, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, when the tight end found himself getting embroiled in a squabble with the members of the rival team.
As per Daily Mail, the on-field behavior of the boyfriend of music superstar Taylor Swift did not sit well with the NFL management, who fined the Chiefs’ tight end.

Travis Kelce fined for starting brawl with Buffalo Bills players
The outlet reported that Travis Kelce, 35, has been fined for taunting by the NFL after starting the brawl in the end zone in the game between the Chiefs and the Bills.
Kelce followed Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes into the end zone to celebrate his touchdown by jawing at Bills safeties Damar Hamlin and Cole Bishop.
However, soon an altercation broke out between the teams, resulting in Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips barging in and headbutting Kelce.
The athlete-cum-podcast host was fined $11,255 for the incident, while Phillips was fined $6,277. Phillips’ team, the Bills were also awarded a 15-yard penalty for the headbutting in the game itself.

Kelce’s recent fine is his second fine within a matter of weeks as he was previously penalized for his celebration after scoring a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Despite Kelce’s hefty fine, his team qualified for the Super Bowl in New Orleans against his brother Jason Kelce’s beloved Philadelphia Eagles on February 9. They defeated the Bills in the nail-biting match on Sunday maintaining a scorecard of 32-29.
The Kansas City-based team is also just a match away to lift the Super Bowl consecutively for three years. If they defeat the Eagles in New Orleans next week, they will be the first team in NFL history to win Super Bowl thrice in consecutive three years.
