Whitney Cummings blasts Justin Baldoni while defending Blake Lively amid lawsuit: ‘Big charity energy’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian and actress Whitney Cummings slammed Justin Baldoni in a lengthy TikTok video after Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against him.
Lively filed a complaint against her 'It Ends With Us' co-star last week accusing him of inappropriate behavior while they were working on the movie, among other things, such as repeatedly commenting on her postpartum body and bringing up her deceased father.
Whitney Cummings slams Justin Baldoni in TikTok clip
Whitney Cummings said in the viral TikTok clip, "I don’t like when guys — especially symmetrical ones — try to get points for being, like, a feminist or, like, an ally. When guys fight for women’s rights, it’s how they get laid."
Notably, Baldoni was vocal about the underlying theme of domestic abuse in his and Lively’s film 'It Ends With Us' while promoting it earlier in 2024, according to Page Six.
When he appeared on CBS Mornings in August, he stated that he hoped the movie, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name, would help spark change regarding how men see abuse and view themselves.
@realwhitneycummings Roast of Justin Baldoni - didn’t intend for that but I Googled him and here we are. Also I’m sure Blake Lively was whatever in some junkets fine but I honestly could have said all this before that movie even got made

He said at the time, "My other hope is the men who have not done the work, who have not done the work to heal, if they see bits of themselves in [his character] Ryle [Kincaid], have a chance to step back and say, ‘You know what, I don’t want to blow up my life. I don’t want to hurt the person I love the most."
Meanwhile, Cummings also said in the video that Baldoni has "big charity energy". She stated, "If I was a bad person, what is the first thing I would do … start a charity."
Notably, Baldoni is on the board of the Wayfarer organization, which "funds and supports spiritually-rooted and justice-oriented nonprofits", according to its Instagram page.
Cummings also asked in the clip, "Are Hollywood people allowed to just donate and participate without telling a publicist?"
She went on to show a picture of Baldoni's young adult guidebook - 'Boys Will Be Human: A Get-Real Gut-Check Guide to Becoming the Strongest, Kindest, Bravest Person You Can Be' and said, "This is like a sociopath’s idea of what the world needs."
She continued roasting him saying, "Justin Baldoni is totally the guy who’s, like, ‘You look so much prettier without makeup unless you’re starring in the movie I’m directing'."
Celebs side with Blake Lively after Justin Baldoni lawsuit
Many celebrities have sided with Blake Lively after she filed a lawsuit against her 'It Ends With Us' co-star Justin Baldoni, accusing him of harassment and causing "severe emotional distress".
Colleen Hoover, the author of 'It Ends With Us', supported Lively amid the claims against Baldoni. In a post to her Instagram stories, she wrote, "@blakelively you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt."
Moreover, Blake's sister Robyn also responded to the lawsuit that the 'Gossip Girl' star filed against Baldoni. She wrote on her Instagram story, "FINALLY justice for my sister @BlakeLively", highlighting specific sentences and phrases from the New York Times article.
In a follow-up post, she encouraged her followers to read the article by linking it and writing "Blake Lively" with a heart drawn around the name.
Similarly, Blake's longtime friends - America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel - released a joint statement on social media in support of the 'It Ends With Us' actress.
The statement read, "As Blake’s friends and sisters for over 20 years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation."
It added, "Throughout the filming of 'It Ends With Us', we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice. Most upsetting is the unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors’ stories to silence a woman who asked for safety. The hypocrisy is astounding."
