WASHINGTON, DC: Conservative activist Laura Loomer on Wednesday, May 13, called on the Trump administration to strengthen enforcement of 'Buy American' policies, arguing that US taxpayer dollars should be directed toward American companies instead of European firms.

Her comments come after President Donald Trump renewed his administration’s push for stricter domestic procurement rules in a Truth Social post.

In a post on X, Loomer criticized the federal government for continuing to award large contracts to European companies while the European Union pursues regulations, investigations and fines against major American technology firms.

She argued that Washington should respond by tightening procurement policies and prioritizing domestic industries.

Loomer argued that American taxpayer money should support domestic workers and manufacturers rather than overseas companies.

President Donald Trump is pushing hard for a simple rule: American tax dollars should go to American workers and American companies, no exceptions,” she wrote.

She criticized the European Union for what she described as a “regulatory assault” on American technology companies, saying the bloc has imposed “massive fines” and “baseless investigations” while protecting its own industries.

“The Trump administration needs to fight back and end this one-sided regulatory assault on US businesses,” Loomer wrote.

Loomer also singled out the Pentagon, referring to it as the “Department of War,” and claimed it had awarded “massive, multi-billion dollar contracts to European companies over the last 25 years.”

She added, “Why reward European companies with huge US defense deals while their governments hammer American tech giants with hostile policies?”

Trump says administration is strengthening 'Made in America' laws

In a Truth Social post shared on Sunday, May 10, Trump said his administration is tightening procurement rules and limiting the use of waivers for foreign-made products.

“ALL FEDERAL AGENCIES MUST BUY AMERICAN, NO EXCUSES!” Trump wrote. The president said previous administrations had allowed taxpayer dollars to flow overseas while American workers and factories were “left behind.”

“My Administration is strengthening MADE IN AMERICA Laws, ENDING Waiver Loopholes, and STOPPING the Federal Government from buying Foreign Products when Great American Products are available,” Trump said.

Trump also said his administration was enforcing rules against false “Made in America” claims and pledged stricter oversight.

“No more games. No more fake labels. No more ripping off the American Taxpayer. AMERICA FIRST means BUY AMERICAN!” he wrote.
