Brad Pitt frustrated with son Pax’s accidents, eager to offer help but Angelina Jolie has ‘shut him out’
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Brad Pitt is feeling the heat as his son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, continues to rack up a concerning number of e-bike accidents.
The situation has become tense, with sources indicating that Pitt is “livid” over the ongoing incidents and is embroiled in a blame game with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, who is Pax’s mother.
Brad Pitt faces family strain as he seeks to support his son Pax
According to an insider, “Anything that goes wrong, they automatically blame each other,” as reported by Radar Online.
This blame game has intensified to the extent that Pitt feels increasingly powerless to guide his son.
“Brad wants to help give his son better guidance — but Angie and the rest of their kids have completely shut him out," the source explained.
The troubling incidents began when Pax, now 20 years old, crashed his Tesla in May.
Then, in July, he crashed his e-bike into the back of a parked car, resulting in a week-long hospital stay for a serious head injury.
Each accident has left Pitt fearing for Pax’s safety, with concerns that his son might endanger not just himself but others as well.
Pitt and Jolie have six children together: Maddox, 22; Pax, 20; Zahara, 19; Shiloh, 18; and twins Knox and Vivienne, who are approaching their 16th birthday.
Brad Pitt seeks dialogue with Angelina Jolie over Pax amid ongoing disputes
Although a representative for Brad Pitt asserts that he does not hold Angelina Jolie responsible for Pax's behavior, they claim she is still disputing certain issues.
“Jolie is letting Pax run wild to ensure he's on her side in his parents' ongoing divorce charge,” the representative stated.
Pitt has reportedly attempted to contact Jolie to discuss Pax, but he has encountered a “stone wall.”
“He is hoping his attorneys can get her to see reason and join him in speaking to Pax together in a sort of intervention before it's too late,” they added.
After Pax’s accident, Jolie has assumed most of the recovery responsibilities at home and has been actively involved in her son's care.
“He's out of the hospital and recovering at home, and she's not relying on a big staff of medical people. She's doing a lot of the hands-on stuff herself,” a source shared.
Despite her dedication to Pax’s recovery, the actress’ focus on her ongoing legal battle with Pitt hasn’t waned.
“It only made the actress more determined to win and expose Pitt for the ‘jerk’ she says he is,” an insider explained.
Meanwhile, Pitt is struggling with not being able to see Pax. “Brad is devastated by what happened. He loves Pax. Pax is his son. But Brad can't see him,” the source stated.
Brad Pitt's strained relationship with his children amid past domestic abuse allegations
Brad Pitt has encountered difficulties in his relationship with his son Pax Jolie-Pitt, especially after the backlash from the 2016 domestic abuse incident involving him and Angelina Jolie on a private jet.
Reports suggest that this ongoing conflict has hindered Pitt's ability to connect with his children, who frequently do not return his calls.
The tension between Pitt and Pax stems from their troubled history, particularly the infamous 2016 plane incident that prompted Jolie’s divorce filing.
Relations became strained, culminating in a Father's Day Instagram post in 2020 in which Pax openly criticized his father, as per The Independent.
He referred to Pitt as a “world-class a*****e” and described him as a “terrible and despicable person,” claiming that he had caused his youngest siblings to “tremble in fear” around him.
Pax’s emotional message concluded with, “You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell.”
Several of his children have even chosen to drop the last name "Pitt" from their names entirely.
Pitt is particularly worried about Pax's safety, pointing out that the teenager rides an E-bike without wearing a helmet.
Pitt believes that this behavior could have been avoided if Pax had been in a car, emphasizing his concerns about their relationship and his son's well-being.
