'He's in denial': Vivek Ramaswamy trolled for claiming Trump's post 'disavowing' him likely written by ex-prez's 'handlers'
DES MOINES, IOWA: In response to a blistering post on Truth Social by Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy speculated that the message was crafted by the former President's "handlers."
On January 13, the former President took to his social media platform, attacking the biotech entrepreneur's support amid his presidential bid.
The response, which came hours before his poor performance in the Iowa caucus, showed his inhibition to attack the Republican frontrunner explicitly.
Ramaswamy has dropped out of the 2024 presidential run after getting only 7.7% votes from the Hawkeye state.
What did Vivek Ramaswamy say about Donald Trump's attack?
While speaking on Fox News on January 15, less than an hour before the Iowa caucus, the host Laura Ingraham questioned him about his thoughts on Trump's accusation that "Vivek is not MAGA."
He replied, "That wasn't particularly coherent to me. I think he did walk it back today. I think the handlers, whoever was yesterday was probably the B team. We had probably the A team around him today."
This is not the first time the ex-GOP candidate refrained from retorting to Trump's accusations and attacks.
His immediate reaction to Trump's Truth Social post was also composed and measured. Labeling the GOP frontrunner the "greatest President of the 21st century," Ramaswamy wrote on X his intention not to "criticize him in response to this late attack."
Yes, I saw President Trump’s Truth Social post. It’s an unfortunate move by his campaign advisors, I don’t think friendly fire is helpful. Donald Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century, and I’m not going to criticize him in response to this late attack.

I’ve met…
Right from announcing his campaign, Ramaswamy was open about his support for Trump. He even vowed to remove his name from the Colorado and Maine ballot in response to the disqualification of the former President's candidacy.
