WASHINGTON, DC: Marjorie Taylor Greene found herself at the center of another controversy when she fired her District Director, Travis Loudermilk, after revelations of his extramarital affair surfaced, as reported by Daily Mail.

The dismissal came as Greene feared the scandal would "make her look bad," and that Loudermilk had become a "political liability." However, the internet was quick to point out the hypocrisy, given Greene's own past involving multiple affairs and divorces.

The controversy surrounding Loudermilk erupted when court documents emerged detailing a divorce suit filed by his wife, Sarah, accusing him of adultery. The documents, filed last month, alleges that Loudermilk engaged in a relationship with Katy Allan, a married Instagram influencer.

Loudermilk and Allan were photographed together on Easter Sunday, spending over an hour at Dellinger Park in Cartersville. Their intimate gestures, captured in exclusive images, raised eyebrows and fueled speculation about the nature of their relationship.

The scandal deepened when information surfaced regarding the timeline of Loudermilk's and Allan's respective marital separations. Both Allan and her husband, John, and Loudermilk and his wife, Sara, separated in May of 2023.

The unfolding saga involving Loudermilk and Allan has drawn comparisons to Greene's own controversial personal history, marked by accusations of infidelity and marital discord.

In November 2022, Daily Mail reported on Greene's romantic involvement with right-wing reporter Brian Glenn, which coincided with the dissolution of her 27-year marriage to Perry. The swift sequence of events, resulting in divorce filings from both parties, drew attention to Greene's personal life.

This wasn't the first time Greene faced scrutiny over allegations of infidelity. In 2012, she admitted to cheating on her husband with Craig Ivey, a self-proclaimed tantric guru, before eventually patching things up with Perry.

Internet mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene in wake of Travis Loudermilk's dismissal

The revelation of Greene's dismissal of Loudermilk over an alleged affair, coupled with her own past similar scandals, ignited a firestorm of criticism and mockery on social media. One X commenter wrote, "Hypocrisy be thy name…" Another remarked, "Priceless from a serial cheater."

A third user highlighted the irony, stating, "The irony of Marge Greene, the self-appointed guardian of morality, dismissing her District Director for overshadowing her own scandalous spotlight. She wants to hog all the scandal limelight for herself."

Another critic suggested, "Marge has done a fine job of making herself look bad all by herself and she does it in a daily basis!" A fifth user called Greene out, stating, "She is the living embodiment of hypocrisy. She did this very thing herself and thinks that this guy's affair will make her look bad."

A sixth user expressed disbelief, commenting, "The singularly most unselfaware woman ever." Another user noted, "Yeah... that's what would make her look bad. not the daily conspiracy rambling and just entire general crazy person vibe."

Lastly, one user expressed, "If this were in a non-fiction book you have to emphatically disclaimer this isn't made up, no joke. Astounding."
