LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Whitlock has ignited controversy with his sharp criticism of NBC for their decision to exclude Brittany Mahomes from the broadcast during the Kansas City Chiefs season opener.

The backlash comes in the wake of Mahomes’ recent support of Donald Trump on social media, which has fueled speculation about her absence from the screen while Taylor Swift, the pop superstar and Kelce’s girlfriend, was prominently featured.

As fans and pundits alike question the network’s motives, Whitlock has voiced his frustration over what he sees as a deliberate snub. The drama continues as Swift remains a regular fixture at Chiefs games, while Mahomes’ relationship with the network and her former friendship with Swift add layers to the unfolding story.

Controversial television pundit Jason Whitlock has criticized NBC for their decision not to feature Brittany Mahomes on screen following her support of Donald Trump. The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes drew attention last week when she liked several Trump-related posts on social media.

At the team's NFL opener on Thursday night, she was notably seated away from Taylor Swift, who was prominently shown cheering for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

While Swift was frequently captured by the cameras, Mahomes was entirely absent from the broadcast despite her prominent presence last season. Many fans took to social media to question NBC's choice, with Whitlock among the critics.

On his YouTube show, Whitlock remarked, “I find it very interesting, I feel like nobody is talking about this. I tweeted midway through the third quarter, ‘I can't believe they're not going to show her at some point.’ I'm sure [Mike] Tirico and Cris Collinsworth wanted no part in having to comment about why she's been in the news cycle. They made her part of the story last year, it's interesting that now she's my favorite NFL wife, she's on Team MAGA, I want to know more about her than I do Taylor Swift, but I got nothing.”

Whitlock also captioned his video, “Now that she’s team MAGA, NBC is too scared to show her," as per DailyMail.

The decision for Brittany and Taylor to sit in separate VIP suites during the Chiefs’ win over the Baltimore Ravens sparked speculation about their relationship.

Swift is expected to be a regular presence at Chiefs games this season as she continues her Eras Tour. She has no schedule conflicts until Week 7 of the regular season, which means she could be seen at Chiefs games through October 20. The team’s upcoming schedule includes hosting the Cincinnati Bengals, a road game against the Atlanta Falcons, and a matchup with the Saints in early October.

One individual added, "She was only shown last year because she was sitting next to Taylor last year. The story from Thursday was that they weren’t in the same box. It’s not that deep bro."

One more person stated, "Good. Don’t need politics in sports. Notice the helmets don’t have slogans anymore either."

Another individual speculated, "Perhaps it was because last season they were in the same box and last night they weren’t together? Britney was shown because she was WITH Taylor and last night she wasn’t. Not sure I agree with your take."
