WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance didn’t hold back on Thursday, March 20, as he threw some serious shade at former VP Kamala Harris with a joke about her infamous "word salads."

In an interview with radio host Vince Coglianese, Vance was asked how he was handling the vice presidency differently than Harris.

"Well, I don’t have four shots of Vodka before every meeting, that’s one way I think that Kamala really tried to bring herself into the role is these word salads," Vance responded with a laugh.

"I think I would need the help of a lot of alcohol to answer questions the way Kamala Harris answered questions," he continued.

Kamala Harris and her infamous 'word salads'

It’s no secret that Harris has been meme-level famous for her unique speaking style, where she tends to layer multiple dependent clauses into long, winding sentences that sometimes leave people scratching their heads, per the Daily Mail.

But that wasn’t the only way Vance suggested he and Harris were worlds apart. He believes she never had the same level of trust from President Joe Biden that he enjoys with President Donald Trump.

"My sense is that there wasn’t a level of trust between Biden and Harris, she was just less empowered to do her job," he noted.

Vance, on the other hand, said he feels fully backed by Trump. "I feel empowered in a way that a lot of vice presidents haven’t been but that’s all in the service of accomplishing the president’s vision."

Did Kamala Harris block JD Vance’s family from the VP residence?

JD Vance also spilled the tea on the awkward transition between him and Harris when he was set to move into the vice president’s official residence.

Turns out, his wife and three young kids were hoping to get a sneak peek at their future home before the move - but that never happened.

According to Vance, "They just would not, even with me not there, they would not allow the three kids to come by and see this place that they are going to live in."

Whether it was an intentional snub from Harris or just a staff mix-up, Vance played it cool and said he wasn’t sure what went down. He brushed it off, calling it "all water under the bridge."

At the end of the day, Vance says his kids are now happily settled in. "The kids are living in the vice president's residence now, they all love it, there's a lot of space, especially in Washington, DC, and they're having a great time," he said.

Tim Walz says he 'scares' Vance

JD Vance also fired back at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who recently suggested that his masculinity somehow "scared" Trump and Vance.

During a podcast interview with California Governor Gavin Newsom, Walz claimed, "I think I scare them a little bit, why they spend so much time on me." He even added that he felt he could "kick all of their ass."

Vance, however, was not buying it.

"I was never physically intimidated by Tim Walz," he said, dismissing the comment as empty bravado. "The Democrats have become so unpopular among young men in particular but really all men, I think they have to posture and pretend ... I just think its a guy who doesn't actually know how to relate, who's trying to say something."

Vance also hinted that he knows Walz has political ambitions beyond Minnesota. "I'm not too worried about Tim Walz as a political talent. We're just going to focus on doing our job and when Tim Walz says something crazy we'll laugh at it and move on," he quipped.
