WASHINGTON, DC: Outgoing Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene has intensified her public feud with President Donald Trump, delivering sharp criticism during an interview that aired on Tuesday, December 9.

As she enters her final weeks in Congress, Greene has launched a wide-ranging media tour, using the spotlight to respond to Trump’s attacks and to explain the escalating tensions between them.

During her appearance on CNN’s 'The Situation Room,' Greene responded to Donald Trump’s recent attacks by telling the hosts she genuinely felt pity for him.

She said, “I feel very sorry for President Trump. I genuinely do."

She further added, "It has to be a hard place for someone that is constantly so hateful, and put so much vitriol, name calling and really tells lies about people, in order to try to get his way or win some kind of fight.”

Greene then reflected on the broader political climate, emphasizing, “And I think that’s exactly what’s wrong in America today. That’s what’s wrong in this toxic political environment that has ripped our country apart.”

Building on her criticism, she stressed her disapproval of Trump’s leadership style, saying, “And I personally think that that’s poor leadership from a president. It’s a very bad demeanor. And, and Americans are very tired of it.”

As part of her media tour, Greene also appeared on Bill Maher’s 'Real Time' and has regularly appeared on various cable news programs in recent months.

This wave of media exposure has coincided with her break from Donald Trump on several issues, including the Epstein files. On '60 Minutes,' Greene revealed that one of her children had received death threats after Trump labeled her a “traitor.”

She attributed the threat to Trump, saying he “directly fueled” it through his criticism. Greene told correspondent Lesley Stahl that Trump “wasn’t very nice” about the situation, though she declined to provide details on what he said. A similar exchange occurred on Tuesday when Brown twice pressed Greene for details about Trump’s reaction after learning her son had received death threats.

Greene replied that Trump was “extremely unkind” and showed “no sympathy, no care.”

Earlier, Trump had attacked her more directly, calling her a “rotten apple” and a “very dumb person” after she distanced herself from the broader conservative movement while insisting she was still “America First.” Trump also previously stated that he was pulling back his support for Greene and even welcomed the announcement of her resignation.

Speaking to an ABC News reporter, he said, “I think it’s great news for the country. It’s great.”
