LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have reached a joint co-parenting agreement for their daughter, Scottie, two months after ending their relationship, a source confirmed on Friday, July 31.

The former couple has reached a mutual understanding and issued a joint statement emphasizing that their daughter's well-being remains the top priority. They separated in May 2026 following relationship challenges linked to busy work schedules and the pressures of new parenthood.

A source confirmed to Page Six that Davidson and Hewitt have reached a "joint agreement pertaining to their child" after their breakup.

"We are cooperatively coparenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us," the former couple shared in a joint statement.

Davidson and Hewitt welcomed their daughter, Scottie, in December 2025. The little girl was named after Davidson's late father, Scott Matthew Davidson. The couple was first romantically linked in March 2025 before becoming parents later that year.

The breakup came after a source told the outlet in April that they had been trying to work through relationship challenges following the birth of their daughter.

Later that month, another source said Hewitt was carrying the "full mental load of motherhood" after the split. Referring to her TikTok post about balancing priorities, the insider explained, "She's talking about the day-to-day reality of raising her baby largely on her own while also trying to continue working and building stability for herself and her daughter."

The source added, "They had relationship challenges for a while, which was very stressful for her, and she feels the full mental load of motherhood right now."

According to the insider, although Hewitt loves being a mother, the demands of single parenting have been "emotionally and physically exhausting.”

It continued, "She was talking about it from an emotional perspective and how isolating it can feel when your entire life changes overnight. She never expected to be a single mom. She's grateful for her daughter and completely focused on being the best mom she can be, but emotionally, this has been a much harder transition than she anticipated."

Pete Davidson reflects on fatherhood and supporting daughter Scottie

Before the breakup, Davidson spoke to PEOPLE in March about how fatherhood had changed his life while praising Hewitt's parenting.

"Dad life is awesome," the comedian said, adding, "It is exhausting and rewarding and cute. And I'm very lucky because Elsie is a fantastic mom, and I can't stress enough how lucky I am."

He also shared that becoming a father made him feel more "primal" and protective.

"It's funny," he said, explaining that before welcoming Scottie, "he didn't understand this. You're just ready to fight anyone."

"It's like, 'Chill out. No one's doing anything to your kid.' But you have this weird... I guess it's not weird. It's good. But you have this overly protective, like... if one paparazzi guy pops out I'm going to beat him," he continued.

"But you develop this like, 'Is that person looking at my baby? What are you looking at?' You're very, very hyper aware,” Davidson stated, adding, "But I guess that goes back to caveman times, you know? It's very... what do they say? It's like primal?"

He concluded, "That's been surprising, the urge to beat out of someone. But other than that, it's been just cute stuff."

In May, a source close to Davidson also said, "Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support. Pete is actually covering all Scottie's costs and more.”
