LONDON, UK: Prince William’s new beard look has been liked by his fans and the future monarch is loving it, an insider revealed.

The tipster told InTouch Weekly, “William really loves how he looks with a beard, he always has. He’d have been wearing one for years now if it weren’t for royal protocol.”

They continued, “It might sound silly, but [Prince] Harry wasn’t lying in his memoir when he wrote that he and William fought about his wedding day beard."

“Harry had to get special permission for his beard, and that did aggravate William since he’s always followed royal protocol out of respect for the Queen.”

Prince William was not allowed to keep the beard

As per Prince Harry's 'Spare', the father of three told the Duke of Sussex, “I wasn’t allowed to keep my beard.”

“Ah – there it was. After he’d come back from an assignment from Special Forces, Willy was sporting a full beard, and someone told him to be a good boy, run along and shave it. He hated the idea of me enjoying a perk he’d been denied,” Harry reportedly mentioned.

Prince William’s smart look is ‘very intentional’

However, things have changed after Queen Elizabeth II’s 2022 death.

The insider shared, “William is taking full advantage and growing out his beard. It’s looking like he’ll probably keep it there for a while. He might even grow it out thicker.”

The source explained, “He’s been on a bit of a self-improvement kick lately. With Kate doing so much better health-wise, he’s had a little more time to focus on things like fitness and his overall appearance.

“He’s lost a little weight and had a whole new set of custom suits made. You can see how smart he looks these days and that’s very intentional.”

Prince William is ‘pleased that people are taking notice’

Referring to Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis earlier this year and the subsequent treatment and chemotherapy, the insider noted, “The stress this past year took a huge toll on William.”

“He looked haggard for a while, but he’s now turning that around by seeing a dermatologist. For the first time in his life, he’s got an actual skincare routine,” they stated.

The source added, “He’s very pleased that people are taking notice because he’s certainly putting in effort.”

'Tough road’ awaits Kate Middleton and King Charles

This came after a royal mole disclosed that positive updates about Kate Middleton and King Charles’ health are not true and the duo are not in "good shape."

The insider asserted, “It's going to be a tough road ahead for both her and Charles. Kate is not in remission and not cancer-free. She's not in good shape at all.”

“I had thought Charles was more treatable, but both of them are not well. One of them won't live very long, and plans need to be in place,” the tipster mentioned.
