DENVER, COLORADO: Rep Lauren Boebert is pushing her congressional reelection bid by highlighting the endorsement from former President Donald Trump in her first television advertisement, as reported by The Hill.

The 30-second commercial she posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, March 18, entirely focuses on the ex-POTUS' support.

In early March, Trump endorsed the Colorado congresswoman, describing her as a "trusted America First Fighter" and a "proven conservative."

Boebert, who currently represents Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, is seeking reelection from the more conservative 4th Congressional District.

She decided to swap districts in December 2023, citing a "fresh start" for her family following her divorce from her ex-husband.

Campaign casts Rep Lauren Boebert as an America First warrior echoing Donald Trump's words

The half-minute ad begins with Trump's remarks from a rally as he is heard saying, "Lauren, you're gonna do fantastically in your district — Lauren Boebert, thank you."

A narrator touted the ex-president's support for Boebert, noting, "President Donald J Trump has endorsed America First warrior Lauren Boebert for Congress."

"Trump says Congresswoman Boebert is a proven conservative who has led the fight to stop illegal immigration, defend the Second Amendment and stand up to the radical Democrats who want to destroy our country," it continued, citing Trump's Truth Social post.

In conclusion, the narrator said, "We need Lauren fighting for us in Washington. Stand with President Trump and vote Lauren Boebert for Congress."

The advertisement, supported by a $ 60,000 buy, of which $40,000 is dedicated to cable and $20,000 to streaming, will air for three weeks.

Boebert's first TV ad came at a significant time in her congressional race as she faces a crowded GOP primary race in the Centennial State's 4th District. Meanwhile, her political headaches grew as the GOP incumbent of the 4th District, Rep Ken Buck, announced his early resignation from Congress.

Boebert criticized the move, accusing Buck of trying to rig the election and undermine her race by triggering a special election in the seat ahead of the November general election.

The special election and GOP primary for November will take place simultaneously on June 25. Some Republicans believe the party's pick for the special election would have an upper hand over Boebert in the primary race as the congresswoman has decided not to run in the special election.

Internet ridicules Lauren Boebert's first TV ad for congressional reelection

One user said, "This is an SNL skit right? Haha. I’m rolling. Don’t worry. I’ll make a better ad for you BoBo," and another added, "'Donald Trump endorsed me and that's all I have to run on' is quite the platform."

"I can smell the desperation," wrote a person, while someone else remarked, "Trump endorses only losers, people without any brains capable to think for thematic!"

An individual quipped, "The broke guy out on bail endorsed you? isn't the flex you think it is."
