LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pop superstar Taylor Swift is basking in the glow of unprecedented success, having recently secured seven VMAs and solidifying her place as the most decorated solo artist in history. However, Swift’s ascent to superstardom hasn’t been without conflict, and some of her past adversaries appear to be facing rough times, as reported by The Daily Mail.

With her record-shattering Eras Tour currently on a break, Swift’s fanbase—known for their fierce loyalty—has taken notice of what they dub the “Tayvoodoo,” a string of misfortunes befalling those who have crossed her.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is the latest figure to experience Swifties’ wrath. Earlier this year, Grohl took a swipe at Swift during a London concert, implying her band didn’t perform live, labeling her tour as the “Errors Tour.” Though the jab initially drew cheers from his crowd, it now appears to have backfired spectacularly.

This week, Grohl shocked fans by admitting he fathered a secret child while cheating on his wife, Jordyn Blum, with whom he shares three children. Following the revelation, Swift fans flooded social media, calling it “karma” for his earlier comments about the singer.

One user on X wrote, “Dave Grohl was confirmed bad when he was an arse about Taylor Swift so it’s giving karma is the child born outside of your marriage isn’t it?"

Another added, "Remember when dave grohl talking s**t about taylor swift on his concert at wembley? well he admitted that he cheated on his wife & has a child outside his fucking marriage so i say karma is really a god and never mess with her for real!!!!"

"Dave grohl having his one sided beef with taylor and then him having a child OUTSIDE OF HIS MARRIGE. karma is her boyfriend! x," a user said.

Another posted, "So dave grohl cheated and fathered a child outside of his marriage but taylor is who he wanted to come for on stage over “errors”… don’t throw stones in a glass house you HAG."

While performing at the London Stadium, he mentioned Swift, who was performing across the city at Wembley, prompting some boos from the crowd. He addressed the audience, saying, "We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know that she's on her "Errors" Tour."

He added, "I tell you man, you don't want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the Errors Tour."

He went on to say, "We've had more than a few eras, and more than a few f*****g errors as well. Just a couple. That's because we actually play live. What?"

Amid cheers, he continued, "Just saying. You guys like raw live rock 'n' roll music right? You came to the right f*****g place!"

Some fans rallied behind Dave Grohl, with one user commenting on Daily Mail, "The funny thing about conspiracies... they often end up being true. Can't wait for Taylor's downfall."

Another user added, "Next up, it's Donald Trump's turn to get hit with a huge dose of BAD KARMA. Ha ha."

Dave Grohl confessed to having cheated on his wife, Jordyn Blum, and fathering a secret daughter in a surprising statement shared on Instagram.

Taylor Swift and Kanye West: A feud for the ages

The long-standing feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, along with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, has become one of the most iconic and messy rivalries in modern pop culture.

What began as a shocking interruption at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards has escalated into a years-long saga of public apologies, betrayals, and controversy that still reverberates today.

In 2009, 19-year-old Taylor Swift was accepting the Best Female Video award for her hit 'You Belong with Me' when Kanye West stormed the stage, famously interrupting her with the now-legendary line: “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, and I’mma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!”

The moment left Swift stunned, and the incident even prompted then-President Barack Obama to call West a “j*****s.”

Though Kanye issued several apologies over the years, he would also repeatedly revoke them, confusing whether the two had buried the hatchet.

By 2015, it seemed like the pair had made peace when Swift presented Kanye with the prestigious Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs, even joking that he had “one of the best careers of all time.” However, behind the scenes, Taylor later revealed she felt blindsided by Kanye’s comments that their stage appearance was simply for TV ratings.

She admitted to Rolling Stone in 2019 that Kanye had privately asked her to present the award, saying it “would mean so much to him.”

Swift’s uneasy feelings about Kanye culminated in a chilling moment at the 2015 VMAs when she realized, as she stood next to his then-wife Kim Kardashian, that Kanye was “two-faced.”

Any hope of lasting peace crumbled in February 2016 when Kanye’s song Famous dropped, containing the controversial lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b***h famous.” Swift was outraged, but Kanye defended himself, claiming he had Taylor’s approval for the lyrics.

The feud intensified when Kim Kardashian released a heavily edited recording of the phone call between Taylor and Kanye, which seemed to show Swift approving the lyrics. Swift fired back, arguing that she hadn’t heard the full song and that the video footage was misleading. In a now-famous Instagram post, she declared, “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative.”

In response to the public fallout, much of Taylor’s 2017 album 'Reputation' explored her feelings of betrayal and the public shaming she endured. She revealed in interviews that this period felt like a “career death,” forcing her to retreat from public life and relocate to the UK.

Meanwhile, Kanye’s fall from grace has accelerated since 2016. While Taylor continues to rise—breaking records with albums like 'The Tortured Poets Department'—Kanye’s career has been on a steep decline.

His latest album 'Vultures 2' was outsold by Swift, and his reputation has been marred by his antisemitic remarks and controversial appearances, such as his 2022 interview with Alex Jones, where he praised Nazis and Adolf Hitler.

Today, Taylor Swift’s career is soaring to new heights, while Kanye West’s influence has plummeted.

Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun

Taylor Swift's feud with music manager Scooter Braun, which centers around the ownership of her master recordings, is another high-profile conflict in the singer's career. Known for managing big names like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Carly Rae Jepsen, Braun's acquisition of Swift's early catalog in 2019 ignited a public and deeply personal battle.

In July 2019, Braun’s company, Ithaca Holdings LLC, purchased Big Machine Records, the label Taylor had signed with at 15. As part of the deal, Braun gained ownership of the master recordings for Swift’s first six albums, including 'Fearless' and 'Reputation.' Swift responded with a now-viral Tumblr post, expressing her devastation and accusing Braun of years of bullying.

She labeled this business move her "worst case scenario," stating that Braun was someone who had tried to "dismantle" her career.

In the post, she circled Braun’s face in red and described how he had been involved in incidents that targeted her, including Kanye West’s controversial 'Famous' video, which depicted a naked wax figure of Swift lying beside West and his then-wife, Kim Kardashian.

Taylor wrote: “Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy.”

To regain control of her creative legacy, Swift began re-recording her earlier albums in 2021, releasing 'Taylor’s Versions' of her music. This move allowed her to reclaim ownership of the new recordings while taking back the narrative.

As of 2024, she has successfully re-recorded four of the six albums affected by Braun's purchase, continuing her fight for artists' rights to their work.

In September 2022, Braun appeared on NPR's 'The Limits' podcast, expressing regret over how the deal was handled. He claimed that legal non-disclosure agreements prevented him from discussing the acquisition with Swift beforehand. While he maintained that it wasn’t personal, Swift’s fans remained skeptical, especially as Braun’s client roster began to shrink.

After years of dominating the music management scene, Braun faced a significant professional setback when several high-profile artists, including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and Carly Rae Jepsen, left his management company in 2023.

Grande, who had been managed by Braun since she was 20 and released all six of her albums under his guidance, did not explain her departure, though Lovato described hers as amicable. Colombian artist J Balvin also left Braun’s SB Management in favor of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Fans of Taylor Swift were quick to speculate that Braun’s career turbulence was karmic payback for his treatment of Swift, especially since his retirement announcement came shortly after these high-profile exits.
