'There is no love': Donald Trump ridiculed as everyone but wife Melania extends public greetings on his 78th birthday

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: On Friday, June 14, birthday wishes were aplenty for former President Donald Trump from his children, supporters, and even adversaries, as per the Daily Beast.

However, Melania Trump remained mum on the occasion of the presumptive GOP nominee's 78th birthday.

Eric Trump took to Instagram to share a photo of himself as a toddler sitting on the former president's lap, writing, "Happy Birthday to this warrior!" 

Ivanka shared a picture of the two walking at the White House on her X (formerly Twitter) account, with the caption, "Happy birthday Dad ! @realDonaldTrump I love you today and everyday!"

Donald Trump Jr posted a photo of his father hugging a US flag with a smile, simply writing, "Happy Birthday Dad!!!!"

Rudy Giuliani, a longstanding associate of Trump, mentioned that he had left a birthday message for the MAGA figurehead with the former New York City mayor singing happy birthday for him, although he expressed uncertainty regarding its reception by the ex-POTUS. 

Several of Trump’s ever-ardent supporters and potential vice-presidential candidates also joined the group of people offering birthday greetings.

Rep Nancy Mace (R-SC), who secured victory in the House Republican primary with Trump’s endorsement, also wished him a happy birthday. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) also wished him on Friday.

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) and former Housing and Urban Development Director Ben Carson, both rumored to be potential vice-presidential picks, also extended their best wishes to Trump, referring to him as the "next" president.

Moreover, his challenger, President Joe Biden took to X (formerly Twitter) to wish him, writing, "Happy 78th birthday, Donald. Take it from one old guy to another: Age is just a number."

Donald Trump wished wife Melania on her birthday amid hush money trial proceedings

Melania didn't extend her birthday wishes publically to her husband despite the embattled MAGA strongman taking a moment to wish her on the occasion of her 53rd birthday on April 26 amid his hush money trial proceedings.

Addressing reporters with his defense team alongside him inside the court, Trump said, "I want to start by wishing my wife Melania a very happy birthday. Would be nice to be with her but I'm at a courthouse for a rigged trial."

 

He added, "But we're doing very well in this rigged trial. Everybody knows it. Yesterday was a big day. But I do have to begin by wishing Melania a happy birthday. She's in Florida." 

Melania, reportedly had a quiet birthday with her son, Barron Trump, and her father, Viktor Knavs, by her side having lost her mother, Amalija Knavs, earlier this year.

"She is still suffering the loss of her mother and this birthday is difficult in that respect," a source told PEOPLE Magazine at the time.

Another tipster noted, "She will be with her family for a low-key celebration. In these days, which are embarrassing for her, she finds comfort in her small family. She keeps to herself and does what she feels is important."

"She can pretty much deal with anything at this point. She shares her husband’s distrust of opposing political sides and does believe a lot of this is opposition from his political haters. But down deep she knows who her husband is," shared a Mar-a-Lago insider. 

Melania's public appearances have significantly decreased in recent years, in contrast to her active involvement during her husband's 2016 presidential campaign run.

She was also absent from glitzy celebrations during a Mar-a-Lago fundraiser on Friday, April 5.

However, she did make an appearance at a fundraising event held in support of the Log Cabin Republicans, an organization that claims to be the largest representative of LGBT conservatives and their allies in the US, on April 20 at Mar-a-Lago.

Earlier in the year, Melania made a comeback to the public spotlight by voting with her husband in the Republican primary in Florida. On March 19, she was spotted strolling beside her husband in Palm Beach, Florida.

A former aide to Melania, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, shed light on her absence from her husband's campaign trail and ongoing court proceedings.

"What you see is what you get. It is a facade of calm. Melania Trump isn't an enigma or a mystery. She is simply self-possessed, stoically guarded, and emotionally armored. Why? To avoid exposure," claimed Wolkoff, adding, "To protect her cultivated image and respectable persona, she stays out of the spotlight by maintaining a low profile by choice—her silence is her suit of armor."

The former aide further noted, "She knows exactly who she married and lives by the same principles. She's a ruthless survivor and opportunist—willing to do whatever it takes to resort to any means necessary for self-preservation. She's mastered the art of complicity."

Wolkoff said that Melania is "always minimizing the impact of Donald's often despicable behavior. She will always stand by her man because she has mastered the ability to accept and compartmentalize all the aspects of her life with precision, ease, and control, always sticking to her talking points regarding her very existence."

Internet mocks Donald Trump as everyone but Melania publically wished him on his 78th birthday

Netizens on Reddit derided the former president as his wife didn't extend a public greeting on his 78th birthday. One commented, "Judging by how Donny acts in public, I can't even imagine how horrifying it must be to live with him in private."

Another quipped, "TBF, she probably sent a private message of some sort, something like, 'Keep sending money you filthy s**t.' What a family!"

"If anyone were going to benefit from him not having another birthday…" joked a person, while someone else called their union a "Fake marriage."

"She sent a message all right. It was 'I don't give a f**k about you,'" wrote an individual, mocking Trump.

One more offered, "It’s been well known for years, even prior to his presidency that she has her own apartment, ten floors down from his. The marriage is legal, but it is also very contractual. There is no love there and never has been."

"Birthday wishes weren’t in her contract," remarked another person.
