WASHINGTON, DC: For a postmortem on former President Donald Trump's conviction on 34 charges of business fraud, Tucker Carlson sat down with his self-described 'buddy', Donald Trump Jr on Saturday, June 1, according to Mediaite.

A Manhattan jury said on Thursday, May 30, that it had reached a unanimous decision in the case following 9.5 hours of discussion. The jury concluded that Trump was guilty of all 34 counts about his concealment of a payment of hush money to a porn star with the intention of meddling in the 2016 presidential race.

Notably, to hurt the former president's chances of winning a second term, many conservatives have echoed Trump's claims that President Joe Biden and the Democrats planned his prosecution and conviction.

By getting Trump entangled in the legal system, they contend that Democrats are the true election meddling parties, and the paper trail that led to Trump's conviction was founded merely on a filing error.

Using Trumpian clichés like 'If they can do this to me, they can do this to anyone' and 'They're not after me, they're after you, and I just happen to be standing in the way', Carlson used the occasion to fan people's concerns, as he has done before.

Carlson stated, "I think a lot of people yesterday when that verdict came down — I’m among them — my first reaction was, wow, they’ll hurt us. They would execute us — me — I’ll just say that speaking for myself."

He added, "And there would be an MSNBC panel of former federal prosecutors telling their audience I deserved it and they’d be laughing. Then Project Lincoln would send out a congratulatory tweet. And I was like, wow, there’s sort of a lack of humanity, a coldness, an evil under all this that I think I underestimate."

Interestingly, just over a year ago, Carlson famously lost his job at Fox News for creating a hostile work environment and spreading conspiracy theories over the 2020 election, which caused Fox to settle a significant defamation lawsuit for $787.5 million with Dominion Voting Systems.

Internet weighs in as Tucker Carlson claims that Trump's verdicts prove ‘they’d execute us’

Several internet users chimed in with their comments as Carlson claimed that Donald Trump's verdicts prove ‘they’d execute us’. Some of the online comments read "Victimization is a lifestyle for the submissive and weak right winger. It's no surprise they worship a whiny victim like convicted felon Trump" and "2 silver spoon beta podcasters trying to talk tough. Both called America a s*** hole. Deport the losers and dump them in Somalia."

A person also wrote "They seriously loathe America, they should move to Russia or North Korea. It seems like they can't complain enough about America. It's disgusting" while one added, "The submissive and weak right winger believes having a jury decide the fate of a lowlife elitist career criminal is tyrannical, they believe elitist criminals are above the law as long as they are Republican and White."
