LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin made a bold and symbolic fashion statement the morning after Super Tuesday by donning an all-black ensemble.

The 55-year-old legal expert shared her sentiments with special guest Jonathan Karl on the ABC show, attributing her attire to her devastation over Donald Trump's sweeping victory that led to Nikki Haley dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.

Sunny Hostin wears 'funeral chic' to 'The View' over Donald Trump's Super Tuesday victory

During the discussion with Karl, Hostin expressed her distress over what she saw as a prioritization of party over country. She humorously referred to her outfit as "funeral chic," explaining her deep disappointment in the election results.

She noted, "It's party before country. I mean, I'm wearing my funeral chic today because I'm so devastated."

"Backstage we were talking about the fact that six in 10 North Carolina primary voters say they considered Trump fit for the presidency, even if he's convicted of a crime. Roughly six in 10 North Carolina GOP primary voters denied that Biden's 2020 election win was legitimate," added Hostin.

'The View' co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump associate, joined the conversation, criticizing her former boss and dissecting the Super Tuesday results.

She attributed the persistent delusion among Republican voters to "Republican leaders lying to their base" and emphasized, "Most elected Republicans have just bought into the big lie, and if they're amplifying it if their leaders in office are saying the election was stolen, I'm not going to blame voters for believing the people in power."

Griffin went on to describe Trump as a "uniquely unfit, unprincipled man."

Internet slams Sunny Hostin for her all-black outfit 

One wrote, "True drama queen," and another mocked, "Backstage when we were figuring out how to gaslight the people," highlighting Hostin's data on North Carolina primary voters. 

An apparent supporter of Trump remarked, "Well she better keep wearing black," while a person added, "Despicable Women!"

Someone else asserted, "No amnesia - we remember the endless attacks against Trump. Despite all the efforts to discredit and remove him, he was still able to make things better."
