Wendy Williams gets perfect score on 'capacity test' after being rushed to hospital for wellness check

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: In a surprising turn of events, Wendy Williams has achieved a significant victory in her ongoing fight for independence.
The former host of 'The Wendy Williams Show' has reportedly aced a psychiatric capacity test with a perfect score.

Wendy Williams scores a perfect 10 on mental capacity test
Wendy Williams made headlines on March 10, after she was transported by ambulance to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
The hospitalization occurred after Williams allegedly threw a handwritten note from her assisted living facility window, pleading for help. "Help! Wendy!!" read the desperate note that sparked a wellness check.

Police sources told The New York Post that they received calls for the check around 11:15 am. Shortly after, Williams exited her fifth-story room with a police escort and entered a waiting ambulance.

Once at the hospital, Williams underwent a "capacity test," a 10-question assessment designed to evaluate mental alertness and orientation, and scored a perfect 10 out of 10, according to TMZ.
Williams, fighting to end her court-ordered guardianship, was also seen waving from a window while on a phone call with a New York Post reporter.
Wendy Williams challenges dementia claims after flawless test results
Wendy Williams' court-appointed guardian had previously filed documents asserting that the 60-year-old was "cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and incapacitated" due to frontotemporal dementia — a diagnosis that Williams has publicly refuted.
Her test results are expected to be submitted to the judge overseeing her guardianship case, potentially shifting the court's stance on her ability to manage her affairs.
"How am I doing? I'm still in prison, so to speak," she told chat over the phone with 'Nightline' co-anchor Byron Pitts, talking about her living condition at the New York care facility, per ABC News.
"As I said, because it's a fact, this is the memory unit. That's what this floor is called, the memory unit. And it is true that these people who live here don't remember anything."
This sentiment aligns with recent reports of an Adult Protective Services investigation into her guardianship, raising further concerns about her welfare under the control of her legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.
Morrissey, who has managed Williams' affairs since 2022, has recently signaled her willingness to allow Williams to undergo a new medical evaluation- a move that could determine Williams' path to regaining control over her life.
Wendy Williams was scheduled return to 'The View'
This comes just as Wendy Williams was set to make her TV return on 'The View' on March 14, as per Daily Mail.
It would have been her first daytime appearance since stepping away from 'The Wendy Williams Show' four years ago.

Suzanne Bass, Williams’ former co-executive producer, confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a video of herself speaking to Williams on the phone, captioned, “Prepping a very special friend for her appearance @theviewabc to air this Friday. #freewendy.”
Williams also recently enjoyed a rare break from her guardianship restrictions when she was permitted to fly to Miami last month to celebrate her father's 94th birthday.
While Williams is set to make her TV return on 'The View,' it’s uncertain if she will appear live.
ABC’s announcement suggests she will join the hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin via phone interview.
