White House doctor declares Joe Biden 'fit for duty' after annual physical exam, Internet says prez 'is fit to stand trial'

BETHESDA, MARYLAND: President Joe Biden has been deemed "fit for duty" by a White House doctor following his annual physical examination, according to a report by CBS News.

In a summary released on Wednesday, February 28, Kevin O'Connor, physician to the President, stated, "The President feels well, and this year's physical identified no new concern. He continues to be fit for duty and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations."

It also described the President as a "healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency."

Biden visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Wednesday amid alarming concerns about his health and cognitive fitness as he dominates the Democratic primary in his re-election bid.

The incumbent, already the oldest President of the United States, will be 86 by the end of his second term if he wins the 2024 presidential election in November. His potential GOP opponent, Donald Trump, is currently 77 years old.

Biden's age and health made headlines after a special counsel report pointed fingers at his "poor memory" who could not remember the date of his elder son's death.

Details of Joe Biden's annual medical examination

O'Connor indicated Biden's gastroesophageal reflux will cause him to "have to clear his throat more often," also, his gait "remains stiff but has not worsened since last year." Physicians will continue to monitor the skin lesions that Biden previously removed.

Based on The Hill report, the physician also ruled out disorders, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson's, after an "extremely detailed neurological exam." The routine examination also added the President showed "excellent" motor skills.

Furthermore, Biden did not undergo a cognitive test as the doctors said it was not needed.

"He passes a cognitive test every day as he moves from one topic to another test, understanding the granular level of these topics," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters, pushing back calls for Biden to take a mental fitness test.



 

Biden won the Michigan Democratic primary on February 27, securing more than 80% of votes, but an "uncommitted" campaign from the anti-Isreal protest movement created a dent in his vote share.

Internet wants Joe Biden to stand trial for classified documents case

As the annual physical examination vouched for Biden's fitness to carry out his presidential duties, netizens voiced a collective demand that the President stand for prosecution for mishandling classified documents.

However, Special Counsel Robert Hur's report on the incumbent's mishandling of classified materials after his vice presidency refrained from criminally charging him, citing Biden as an "elderly man with poor memory."

One user said, "Then, he is fit to stand trial. Joe Biden."



 

Another person questioned, "Is he also fit to stand trial then?"



 

"Then he is 'fit to be held accountable for taking classified documents'!!!" another user added.



 

A response read, "Fit for duty but not fit to store classified documents."



 

"So the DOJ will proceed with a trial for keeping classified documents in violation of the law?" one individual chimed in.



 

Another person wrote, "So he should be able to stand prosecution for the secret documents then."
