ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga), a far-right politician representing Georgia’s 14th congressional district, paid tribute to former President Donald Trump on Presidents' Day in a series of posts on social media platform X.

On her official congressional account, Greene posted a photograph of former President Trump seated in the Oval Office, along with a caption that read, “Happy Presidents’ Day to my favorite President and yours, President Donald J Trump!”

This has been the subject of extensive controversy online due to Rep Greene’s history of promoting conspiracy theories and making inflammatory remarks.

Despite this, Greene has continued to support the 77-year-old Republican presidential front-runner who has been indicted four times, and has been vocal in her admiration for him, according to Huffpost.

The congresswoman's actions have been criticized by many who view them as inappropriate for an elected official. Some have called for her to be censured or removed from office altogether.

What else did Marjorie Taylor Greene post on Presidents' Day?

On her personal account, Greene also shared a picture of herself with Trump and stated, “Wishing a tremendous Presidents’ Day to the man who will make America great again! I will always stand with President Trump and I’m so excited to send him back in the White House!”

The assertion made by Rep Greene that the 2020 election loser, Donald Trump, was the preferred POTUS for everyone has been questioned by detractors.

This is in light of a recent survey conducted by the Presidential Greatness Project, which polled presidential scholars and social scientists.

The survey ranked Donald Trump as the least popular US president, with President Joe Biden ranking in the 14th position, Barack Obama in the 7th position, Bill Clinton in the 12th position, Ronald Reagan in the 16th position, and George W Bush in the 32nd position.

It has been speculated that Greene, along with other Trump-devoted Republicans, is being considered as a potential running mate for Trump if he becomes the GOP's nominee to challenge Biden in November.

Nonetheless, Greene's actions reflect a broader trend of politicians who are willing to overlook or even embrace controversial figures in order to advance their own political agendas.
