PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Joe Biden on Sunday, December 14, tried to follow President Donald Trump's successful appearance at the Army-Navy game by attending the Philadelphia Eagles vs Las Vegas Raiders game, though his attendance garnered little fanfare.

The former president's sideline interview was marked by an incoherent rambling about the Super Bowl.

Biden's unsuccessful attempt to one-up Trump

The Sunday trip to Lincoln Financial Field saw Biden trying to overshadow Trump's well-received presence at the 126th Army-Navy college football game on Saturday.

While Trump generated significant excitement, Biden's visit did not achieve the same level of enthusiasm. Nobody, it seemed, cared that he attended the Eagles game.

Biden's awkward sideline talk ends with incoherent rambling

Biden was seen on the sideline with Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie during the pregame warmups.

During a brief exchange with NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark, the former president struggled to deliver a clear message.

"Go Birds, man! All the way,” Biden shouted, continuing with, "We gotta win the Super Bowl again," before incoherently rambling about the Super Bowl.

Despite the awkward moment, the Fox Sports cameras briefly showed him standing on the sidelines, wearing a coat with a fur-lined hood and an Eagles hat.

Biden's history with the NFL

The trip to Lincoln Financial Field adds another entry to Biden's extensive history of NFL appearances, which stretches back to his time as vice president.

He had previously hosted multiple teams at the White House during his term, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in July 2021 and the Kansas City Chiefs in both 2023 and 2024.

Biden also has a history with the Eagles organization, having sat with owner Jeffrey Lurie during a 2008 game and helping to hold the flag before a 2016 matchup.

Furthermore, the former president attended two championship games, including the Super Bowl, where the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots, and the Super Bowl where the Buccaneers defeated the Chiefs.

Trump's triumph at Army-Navy kickoff

In a stark contrast to Biden's quiet sideline appearance, Trump’s ceremonial coin toss at M&T Bank Stadium for the Army-Navy game was a moment of high energy.

The crowd went wild after Trump performed the coin toss and helped kick off the Army-Navy game.

As the match was about to begin, Trump simply released the coin from his palm rather than giving it a traditional spin it which resulted in tails, giving the Army the starting call.
