Charlie Sheen's 'drastic' voice raises concerns as he reunites with ex Denise Richards and daughter Lola

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Charlie Sheen’s latest appearance on 'Denise Richards & Her Wild Things' has sparked discussions among fans, not just about his family dynamic, but also about his noticeably altered voice.

The 59-year-old actor joined his ex-wife, Denise Richards, 54, and their 19-year-old daughter, Lola Sheen, for a heartfelt reunion on the reality show, Daily Mail reported.

However, their 21-year-old daughter, Sami Sheen, opted out, citing a strained relationship with her father, which has been exacerbated by his disapproval of her OnlyFans career.

Charlie Sheen’s higher-pitched voice sparks social media buzz

While the reunion was touching, social media users quickly focused on Sheen’s voice, with some expressing concern over its higher pitch.

As per Daily Mail, a TikTok clip from the episode drew attention to this change, with comments such as, “His facelift has made his voice higher."

Other few comments made comparisons to Caitlyn Jenner: “He sounds like Caitlyn Jenner,” and “Why does he look and sound like Caitlyn Jenner?”

Another viewer noted the contrast between Charlie and Denise’s voices: “He's an octave higher and she's an octave lower.”

One fan chimed in, "I never realized that his voice sounds just like Bruce Jenner lol."

Another added, "Charlie has mellowed out a lot. I almost didn’t recognize him. LoL."

Sheen previously addressed his voice changes, revealing in a 2014 interview with the National Enquirer that he suffers from laryngeal inflammation caused by acid reflux.

Sami Sheen’s strained relationship with her father

On the same episode, Sami opened up about her fractured bond with her father.

Declining the opportunity to join him and her sister for lunch, Sami bluntly admitted in a confessional: “I would rather do literally anything else than go to lunch with my father.”

Richards provided context, explaining that Sami and Charlie have had a tumultuous relationship over the years.

“Both our girls have been through a lot with their dad,” she said.

Sami elaborated on their rocky past, stating, “It goes in very big chunks with him. I think for the first 13 years of my life, it was pretty bad, and then we were okay for a couple years, and now it’s just like, okay.”

Due to Charlie’s struggles with substance abuse, Richards sympathized with Sami’s feelings, adding, “It hasn’t always been perfect with he and Lola, either—with any of his kids. So I hope that he does recognize that because he’s missing out.”

Sami herself confirmed this sentiment, stating, “He’s really missing out on not having a close relationship with me.”

Lola Sheen opens up about bond with dad Charlie Sheen

Unlike Sami, Lola appears to have a much-improved relationship with their father.

During the episode, she shared, “We started getting pedicures together like every two to three weeks, and that’s like our favorite thing to do together.”

At lunch, Charlie asked about Sami, but Lola admitted they weren’t in close contact either.

Their chosen restaurant held personal significance - Lola had worked there as a hostess.

Recalling her time there, she revealed, “The staff here, nobody knew that you were my dad. And when we took a photo they thought I was a fan.”

When Charlie jokingly asked if she kept her identity a secret out of shame or to protect him, she clarified, “I just didn’t want to be treated differently.”

Lola also spoke about her strong connection with her father, saying she often turns to him for advice. “Sometimes I get super amped up when I'm talking to my mom and Sami, so I called my dad for a while, and he really helped me. He's so good at helping my brain because he's so logical.”

She added that Sami struggles to understand her way of thinking, explaining, “The only thing we have in common is that we're in the same family.”

Lola Sheen says 'religion rescued me from darkness'

During the episode, Richards described Lola as “like a fairy… very soft, very light.” The young woman’s demeanor and outlook stand in stark contrast to the typical Hollywood upbringing.

Earlier this year, Lola made headlines when she revealed she had been baptized after a difficult period in her life.

On Instagram, she reflected, “I felt so lost and hopeless, and was just doing my best to make it to the next day. I just accepted my life was going to be like that forever, and thought I would never genuinely laugh again."

After finding solace in her faith, she declared, “Religion rescued me from the darkness and made my life worth living.”

Her baptism, she said, marked the start of a new chapter: “I chose to get baptized at the beginning of this year because I made it through this year only by the strength of Jesus, and I am so happy to go into this next year.”

Beyond his daughters with Richards, Charlie is also father to Cassandra Estevez, 40, from a previous relationship, and twin boys Bob and Max, 17, with ex Brooke Mueller.

His past struggles with addiction have contributed to the complications in his family relationships.
