WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump claimed Vice President Kamala Harris would be perceived as a "play toy" by world leaders because of "how she looks" during his interview with Fox News' Laura Ingraham, part of which aired on Tuesday, July 30, as reported by the Independent.

"She’ll be like a play toy. They look at her and they say, ‘We can’t believe we got so lucky.’ They’re going to walk all over her," said the former president.

The 78-year-old MAGA strongman declined to elaborate on his comments, stating, "And I don’t want to say as to why. But a lot of people understand it."

Donald Trump's spokesperson denied his remarks were about Kamala Harris' gender or race

The spokesperson for the Trump campaign denied that the Republican presidential nominee's remarks were directed at Kamala Harris' gender or race. Instead, in a statement to The Washington Post, the spokesperson criticized the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee as "weak, dishonest, and dangerously liberal."

However, this is just the latest in a string of disparaging attacks on the vice president, which have intensified since she emerged as the Democratic Party's top presidential candidate following Joe Biden's exit from the 2024 race.

Over the past week, Republicans have baselessly branded Harris a "DEI hire," targeting the vice president's racial and ethnic identity.

Trump's VP pick, JD Vance, faced pushback for referring to the vice president and other Democrats as "childless cat ladies" in a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News.

The Ohio senator claimed that the US is controlled by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too."

He further said, "Look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. How does it make any sense we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?"

Several public figures, including Jennifer Aniston and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff's first wife, Kerstin Emhoff, criticized Vance's sexist remarks.

Vance and Trump have both tried to downplay the resurfaced comments, with the GOP vice presidential nominee claiming he’s simply family-focused and the former president asserting that women who haven't had children can understand his running mate’s comments, claiming, "I think they understand it."

This is not the first time Trump has made derogatory comments about women.

During his 2016 presidential campaign, the infamous Access Hollywood tape emerged, revealing Trump boasting about grabbing women "by the p****."

Last year, he was found liable for sexually abusing columnist E Jean Carroll in the 1990s. Despite being ordered to pay millions of dollars in damages for defamation, he continues to rally against her online.

In May this year, the former president was convicted of 34 felonies related to a hush money payment to silence Stormy Daniels over an apparent sexual encounter ahead of the 2016 election. Again, he subjected Daniels to repeated derogatory attacks, leading to threats from his ever-ardent supporters.

Internet blasts Donald Trump for saying world leaders will 'walk all over' Kamala Harris because of 'how she looks'

Donald Trump's disparaging remarks about Kamala Harris sparked outrage among netizens

One commented, "Other world leaders will 'walk all over Harris because of the way she looks'? Better than having other world leaders laugh in your face because of what you say, as happened to Trump when he addressed the UN."

Another remarked, "At least they won't be laughing at that stupid comb over," and someone else added, "That's a good one Trumpie, leaders already walk all over you because of the way you think (or don't)."

"Trump seems to be forgetting that world leaders generally bypassed him and went straight to State leadership because they couldn't be bothered to deal with a child," expressed another person.

An individual blasted Trump, writing, "Do Trump and the Trumpsters ever pause to think how demeaning his constant ad hominem attacks are? He behaves like a petulant, spoiled ten-year old, friendless, in the school playground."
