LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: John Stamos and his wife, Caitlin McHugh, are joining the efforts to rebuild and restore homes devastated by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.

Their initiative comes as part of a wave of celebrity support, with stars like Jennifer Garner, Meghan Markle, and Jennifer Lopez stepping up to donate and help provide essential aid to those affected.

The fires, which struck Southern California on January 7, were fueled by strong winds and dry conditions, consuming acres of land and destroying homes in their wake.

John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh, who have been married for nearly seven years, recently opened up about their commitment to helping rebuild Caitlin’s hometown, speaking with ET this week about their efforts in the recovery process.

Caitlin shared emotional memories of the place now devastated by the fires, saying, "I grew up in Altadena, just up the street. This is my hometown; this is the school that I went to; this is the church that I went to up to the age of 18."

She expressed her deep dedication to the recovery, adding, “It's such a beautiful thing to see and know that we are all dedicated to making sure that these people continue to own their homes.”

Caitlin also voiced a concern close to her heart, saying, “One of the most heartbreaking things to me is if these people end up selling to developers and they end up not having enough money to ever buy a home in California again.”

She pledged, “I'm going to work very hard to keep these people in this town, keep the charm of this town.”

Reflecting on her upbringing, Caitlin, who shares a six-year-old son, Billy, with John, emphasized, "I grew up in the most diverse, beautiful city and I want it to stay that way."

John Stamos highlighted the widespread loss, noting, “So many people lost their small business and their home at the same time. So many kids lost their school and their home, so I wanna rebuilt this town to be as resilient and as beautiful as the people who live here.”
