KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift recently endorsed Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, in an Instagram post, and among all the people who 'liked' this post was Jason Kelce's wife, Kylie Kelce, who shares a close bond with the pop star.

The 'Fortnight' singer formally declared her support for Harris and her running mate Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential contest, following the Vice President's heated debate with former president Donald Trump on Tuesday, September 10.

Swift's NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has, however, not reacted yet to her endorsement of Harris. He has also not announced as yet who he will be supporting in the upcoming November election. Will he follow his girlfriend's footsteps or tread a different path, that remains to be seen.

Kylie Kelce and Taylor Swift share a close bond

Taylor Swift has become close to numerous Kelce family members since her romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce began in 2023.

Swift has, however, maintained a somewhat more private friendship with Kylie than with other family members.

Kylie and Taylor were able to get closer than before because of Travis' NFL games. They like each other's social media posts and often appear in social media images.

Even though Kylie isn't the type to flaunt friendship bracelets and listen to Swift non-stop, she seems to be a Swiftie. She was notably seen gleefully belting out 'Love Story' at the 'New Heights' Beer Bowl in New Jersey in June 2024, as per Nicki Swift.

Kylie also supports Swift and Travis' relationship.

"Ultimately, if Trav is happy, we're happy. We are always cheering on Uncle Trav. It's such a treat to be able to do that on and off the field. But it's been amazing," Kylie told Today in April 2024.

And now, after Swift announced on September 10 that she is endorsing Harris for president in the 2024 election, Kylie is backing Swift's important political decision.

Even Caitlin Clark likes Taylor Swift's endorsement post

Besides Kylie Kelce, Taylor Swift's endorsement post for Kamala Harris on Instagram has garnered almost 8.5 million likes, including one from 22-year-old WNBA sensation, Caitlin Clark.

Although Clark has been influential in expanding the fan base for women's basketball, she has not made her political views as public as she could have up until now.

According to the New York Post, a reporter questioned the Indiana Fever player about whether she liked the pop icon's post-debate support of the Democratic presidential contender.

The 22-year-old basketball player did not officially endorse Harris like Swift did, but she did cite her "amazing platform" for the same.

"I think for myself, I have my amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing will be just encourage people to register to vote,” she said.

While Liberty star Breanna Stewart earlier told USA Today at the Summer Olympics that she and a few other WNBA players would do all in their power to "back" Harris in her quest for the White House against Trump, Clark refrained from endorsing either candidate.

Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris following presidential debate

Following months of rumors about whether Taylor Swift would back Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in November, Swift announced on Tuesday, September 10, that she is endorsing Harris in the presidential contest, describing her as a "steady-handed, gifted leader".

Swift, 34, wrote in an Instagram post: "I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them."

Swift continued, saying she was "heartened and impressed" by Harris' choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. She hailed Walz as a champion of "LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman's right to own her body for decades".

Swift used the term "Childless Cat Lady" to sign her post, referencing Sen JD Vance, R-Ohio, Trump's running mate, who had made disparaging remarks against leading Democrats without children. Swift included a picture of her with her cat, Benjamin Button, who has been on Time magazine's cover alongside the singer.

Officials from the Harris campaign told NBC News that Swift's endorsement came as a surprise. According to one of the campaign executives, the singer's support was a "decisive victory" for the vice president on the debate stage and highlighted her ability to attract support.
