PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: During a $40,000 per person fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday, Donald Trump went on an expletive-laden tirade, equating himself to notorious gangster Al Capone, and accusing the Democrats of running a "Gestapo administration."

Per Daily Mail, the former President of the United States also directed a profanity-laced insult at Special Counsel Jack Smith, calling him a "f**king a**hole."

What else did Donald Trump say at his Mar-a-Lago fundraiser?

Former President Trump entertained his audience by teasing them about who he would choose as his running mate.

The 77-year-old MAGA strongman also took the opportunity to defend embattled House GOP Speaker Mike Johnson and directed his Republican critics to “leave him alone.”

In addition to that, the ex-POTUS made a derogatory remark about Fulton County DA Fani Willis, referring to her as “a real beauty.”

Trump also made a joke about his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, suggesting that she probably wouldn't have married his son Eric if she had known that her future father-in-law risked being imprisoned.

“Once I got indicted, I said holy s***, I just got indicted. Me, I got indicted,” Trump remarked, adding. “In fact, Lara, if she knew I got indicted, she probably wouldn't have joined the family.”

A gathering of about 400 donors, contributors, and lawmakers took place at the luncheon hosted by former President Trump on his Florida beachfront property.

This fundraising event took place right after the conclusion of the initial week of his hush-money criminal trial in New York.

During his 90-minute speech, Trump stated that he was taken aback after being the first ex-president to face criminal charges, and attributed his 2020 election loss to Democrats who he claims "rigged and stole that election. And we're not going to let that happen again," as per a recording leaked to The Washington Post.

The 2024 presumptive Republican nominee has 88 criminal accusations pending against him in four different states and federal cases, including a Georgia state charge of meddling with the 2020 election results.

In March, this year, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was compelled to remove her Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade after it was discovered that they had been involved in a relationship while pursuing the case.

The former President referred to her as “Mrs. Wade” and drew a comparison between himself and Al Capone, the infamous Chicago gangster who was eventually imprisoned for tax evasion.

“I got indicted like Alphonse and like all these people,” Trump remarked.

Donald Trump showed his support for Speaker Mike Johnson, who was in attendance. Johnson is facing a challenge by Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene to unseat him when Congress reconvenes next week.

Trump halted his speech to address Speaker Johnson, telling him “You’re doing a very good job.”

Additionally, he expressed sympathy for Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar, speculating that his indictment last week on charges of receiving $600,000 in bribes from an Azerbaijani oil company was “for political reasons, because he was tough on the border.”

However, he had fewer sympathies to spare for his former Attorney General Bill Barr, who called Trump's January 6 actions “nauseating” and told his audience that he would need an Attorney General with “courage.”

In addition, Trump assured that there isn’t a lack of candidates and listed some of the characteristics he would be seeking in a vice president.

“It's funny when I listen to the fake news, they all say, 'Well, you know, he's going to have a hard time getting people in his administration because he's very tough and I'm not sure he can get anybody to be vice president of the United States',” Trump told his audience.

“I've got 50 people calling me, begging me 'I'll cut off my right arm, sir. Please, I want to be the vice president',” he claimed, adding. “These are ambitious politicians.”
