Many fans tuned in to the June 6 episode expecting the show's outspoken panel—Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin—to weigh in on the dramatic clash between the president and the Tesla CEO.

However, the anticipated discussion never came. The episode made no mention of the feud, leaving fans to express their confusion and frustration online.

According to Daily Mail, the reason for the omission is that Friday’s episode was pre-recorded on Thursday, June 5, just hours before the Trump-Musk standoff exploded across social media.

Instead of diving into the political drama, the hosts shifted focus to Malia Obama, discussing her decision to drop her last name as she begins a new career in filmmaking.

For context, the feud between Trump and Musk erupted on June 5 over disagreements regarding Trump’s proposed “Big, Beautiful Bill”. 

The conflict quickly escalated into a fiery public exchange: Musk called for Trump’s impeachment after linking him to Jeffrey Epstein, while Trump retaliated by threatening to deport the SpaceX CEO. Most recently, Trump told Fox News he had no interest in speaking with Musk, declaring, “Elon Musk has lost his mind.”
